Update: This deal ends tomorrow. With an Ink card it’s like getting about 19% off all your Amazon purchases! I was able to purchase as many as I wanted to from my local store and of course it helps to get closer to the $5K spend threshold to get the awesome 50K Ultimate Rewards bonus on the Ink Bold and Ink Plus cards!

On the front page of the Office Max weekly ad for this week is an offer to get 2 $25 Amazon.com or Kindle gift cards for just $45.
No coupon is required and officially there is a limit of 1 per customer, though this is often not enforced.
This is valid in-store only.
Amazon.com and Kindle gift cards both work for all purchases on Amazon and for the Kindle, it doesn’t matter which you buy.
Don’t forget to use your Ink Bold, Ink Plus, or Ink Cash If you love shopping at Amazon this is a great way to help meet the spend thresholds on those cards and earn a boatload of Ultimate Rewards points while saving money at Amazon.

Can Amazon gift cards be cashed out on Amazon Payments?
@Dan -Are you getting $50 worth of points or $45?
@fay: No.
When does this expire?
I Scored 8 cards. The Manager told me to use different Credit Cards, but when she wasnt looking I swiped them all on Chase Ink (5x Points).
Not the greatest deal in the world, but fun just for the “shtick” of it!
WAAAAH! The closest Office Max is 50 miles away…oh well was a decent deal but not worth 100 miles of driving..Thx for the Post Dan!
Any chance staples would match this?
@Asher:
yes sm them to match:)
Office max on atlantic ave doesnt have any $25 cards. Staples will not match the offer as its a gift card
Went to the Office Max in Lawrence, 5 Towns (on Burnside Ave) and they strictly limit you to ONE PER PERSON. Then send friend/spouse in after you leave. Just go in at different times and to different registers. Use your Amex card to get up to 3% cash back, as it is an Office Supply store.
@Yoily: @Yoily: Chase Ink cards give 5% back on office supply stores.
I bought 10 cards at two stores. Just did 5 separate transactions. Business was slow at both locations that the cashiers seemed happy to just to have something to do. Probably will head back and grab some more – plenty of supply. Biggest PITA is the interminable pin codes in minuscule font on each gc.
@Yoily:
Don’t have one yet ;-(
Walked into staples with printout of ad and they said they can’t match giftcards. something about the computer not letting them mark them down;.
Can I buy an Amazon Gift card with a OneVanilla gift card?
Hello,
I remember once reading that over a certain amount it pays to use the Sapphire card rather than the Freedom card (with the 10/10 benefit). Is there anyone who knows why that is?
Thank You
got 2
thanx dan
Most OfficeMax stores in the Long Island area are all SOLD OUT of $25 cards! (no thanks to me!)
Got my 2x$25 in Portland, OR using my Chase Ink from a 3BM.
Was in an office max today for something else, and saw the sign still up next to the amazon cards, took two $25 and went to the front, cashier said that the sale is over but he will refund me $5 on the spot. Maybe because they hadn’t taken the sign down, YMMV.
