Update: This sale has significant hidden capacity restrictions, with most flights only valid in Economy/U Class and Premium Economy/P Class, which can be hard to find. I was not able to find any P Class availability between JFK and Tel Aviv for discounted Premium Economy flights.
El Al’s website won’t price the BOGO discount if the booking class isn’t available on your flight, so you’ll need to keep trying different dates and flights to find ones that do have it. You may want to contact a travel agent to help find availability.

Children usually pay a little less taxes, however, if the coupon works for you for adults only, book them as adults.
You need to stop giving people this “advice” the website stops you when you enter the birthdate of the “adult”.

If it’s a US flight, US law requires 24 hour cancellation if it’s 7+ days in advance of the flight.
Should be added that if the airline has a Hold option (where you can lock the price for 24H for free) they aren’t required to refund you even within 24H

Question not completely related… I booked a 13-year-old on AA points on a separate account from my ticket, but I had to put it in a false date for his age because they wouldn’t allow that age to be ticketed on its own. In the past I know you wrote that is not a problem for sure for domestic. Would it be a problem going to Israel? Do I have to call to change his birthday to the correct one? Will they give me a problem?

I also had a similar issue recently with an El Al award redemption. Don’t forget that you input passport info separately during checkin, which is what they actually go by in reality – so just make sure all that info is indeed accurate.
I hope another airline will copy this sale and then will be able to get a real good deal

Are these tickets refundable within 24 hours? I booked but need to cancel. What is the best way to do this. Have tried online, WhatsApp and mail but nothing working.
Just cancelled a ticket with Elal (only way to get through is by calling the Israeli call center 03-940-4040, it took about an hour to get a rep). Was told that they don’t have 24 hour free cancellation policy, only same date cancellation (in other words if you booked 2 minutes before midnight Israel time, you have 2 minutes to cancel…)
Federal law requires 24 hours for US flights booked 7+ days in advance.
No one told El-Al, the rep was pretty adamant…
Also, site crashed about 14 times while trying to check out, every time I pressed “confirm” my card was charged but the site crashed and nothing was actually ticketed….
Dan, I purchased EL AL tickets using Chase points 2 years ago. Have spoken to Chase a dozen times to get refunded. They keep saying they can’t get through to El Al. And El Al won’t talk to me because I purchased them through Chase. Any suggestions?

This is what they are calling a buy1get1. You need to purchase the full price for those 2 tickets. So you’ll end up spending 2k for those 2 tickets. Then, ON YOUR NEXT trip you’ll get a free ticket. Firstly, it’s more like buy 2 get one ticket free. Secondly, that free ticket will no doubt come with restrictions. Last, that isn’t what everyone would call buy1get1, especially since you need to buy 2…somewhat deceiving…
