@Rand:
No I tried
I can’t find it, anybody get it?
Does this work in July-August also?
How about lvng new York April??
Turkish Air… are you crazy!!! You want them to harrass you!?!?
Can you book it one way?
Orbitz has it as well
Any answer for the 1 way Q ?
RAND, BOOKY,TTL – Read the original print: ORIGINATING IN TEL AVIV
Here’s the obvious question: is it safe for a frum Jew to travel with his family through Istanbul?
Don’t support the Turks
I have a resume of having flown 14+ airlines (I’m not sure the exact number) and so far the best service I have received was with turkish. Don’t worry about any extra security screenings.
Kosher food?
Answer to the one way q would be, to just book this as a return, and abandon the return segment, as this is still cheap for a one way!
Dan, I was approved for the Consumer Plus Southwest card. Which card do I apply for next for the 2nd account? Do I do it online? And finally, how do I link the RR# to both accounts?
Thanks!
I found the flights. It’s a great deal, if you are flying after Passover. Any flights surrounding Passover are in the 1300-1400 dollar range. They might be turkeys, but they’re not stupid.
I checked it (04/03-04/22), only one way is 600$
a round trip is twice the price!
dan thanks for finding a tlv-jfk deal!
i’ve flown turkish and stayed in turkey overnight w/no issues.
Its worth booking it as a 2 way and dropping the second flight, all other 1 ways are over $800.
It CANNOT be booked as a 1 way, however its worth booking it as a 2 way and dropping the return flight as all 1 ways are over $800 now.
Want to buy the ticket from Tel Aviv to New York at $ 601 with Turkish.
How can I talk to you?
I have traveled with turkish to tlv and had only great experiances go for it.
@dan Are there any dates that cover Pesach? I couldnt find any.
The Istanbul airport is such a trip. It’s like the crossroads of the world. I swear I saw Avraham Aveinu there carrying a laptop.
Not only is Turkish airlines a great and comfortable airline they’re also extremely accommodating . I had a stop over over night and the airlines holds on to your luggage so you don’t need to check in your bags again, and sets you up in a 4 star hotel for FREE shuttle service included . I never had a better stop over.
kosher food on turkish is very good, no problems for frum jews at all in the airport.
Thanks for posting in this direction- TLV to NY!!
@Moshe: YES, safety is no concern. Food is excellent and Business class is superb.
coach passangers get free hotel over night?
can anyone verify?
Traveling through istanbul is totally safe ive done it before
flew turkish and was upgraded to first class!! never happened before or since on any other airlines.
Through Priceline coming up at $801- any recommendations?
WHy are so many people responding that it’s safe to travel through Turkey???
under the current circumstances i would not fly in to Turkey…. a couple of years ago i would have flown in to turkey. but not today …
There is a difference between entering Turkey and just flying through the airport.
I purchased tix Sunday morning at 1210 EST do I have untill Monday night 1130 pm est to cancel?
If I book round trip can I only fly the second leg?

be advised if your traveling on an israeli passport you may be in for rough treatmnet as they arent so pleased with israel these days as well orthodox looking jews be forwarned the country is now very pro muslim anti israel=jewish
as a travel agent i advise against flying with turkish airlines
my clients who were rerooted (when delta had engine issues oldest fleet of planes flying to tel aviv) thru turkey on a delta ticket felt very uncomfortable when davening scharis with talis/teflin in airport terminal felt the whole airports eyes stearing at them
price is right but not worth risking your life to save a few hundred dollars
Just tried booking but the price was $1k+, is this deal still available?
@×—× ×•×š: found the deals for 1067
Just cancelled my tix.. I had till next day midnight to cancel for free
how do I cancel the ticket?
Just book for $680
Thanks Dan
Hi Dan, just went into the prili e website and the round trip looks like it’s 800$ how do I order the 601$ deal? Thanx!
umm- do turkish pilots know how to fly? do they take breaks and kneel on the floor to mecca while over the atlantic?
i mean -is this like shoprite brand pilots?
@travel agent:
I’ve flown them with an Israeli passport. Was a better flight that on the us airlines.
Your exaggeration (life in danger) is just ridiculous.
just got tickets late april to late may for $590 at the Turkish air site. payment is due 3/8.
@travel agent: don’t blow things up. It’s a great travel experience and much better than any other airline. keep it up ! DAN’S THE MAN!
flown
DAN isnt vouching for anyones life or safety he’s just advising you of a great deal. btw doubt if dan flew thru turkey during the past 2 years
where is ive had clients come back and tell me of their experience which i feel people should be aware of before commiting to a deal if after knowing all the facts they go ahead great
personally i spent double points to fly back on UA jan 02 2013 from tlv where i had great flts thru turkey for 1/2 the points but didnt feel comfortable knowing the political climate etc
your right 99.9% will be safe if not a bit uncomfortable but for the .01% …. well leave the rest unwritten
If you book on Orbitz is it cancelable until 11:30 next day?
does anyone know whether you have time to cancel on Orbitz?
just booked this deal!toda raba!
