Capital One airport lounges have now launchedĀ together with their first ultra-premium card offering, with its first lounge in Dallas/DFW in terminal D near gate 22. That’s next door to American’s flagship lounge.
The lounge is now open from 7am-7pm.
Capital One lounges in Denver/DEN and Washington/IAD will open next year and more lounges will be added to the network.
It’s great to see credit card competition in the airport lounge scene, with Chase and Capital One going up against AMEX and traditional airline lounges.
Back when AMEX first launched the Centurion lounge in Las Vegas it offered hot kosher food options, but that was removed when AMEX expanded access from Centurion cardholders to Platinum cardholders.
I asked Capital One about the possibility of having kosher food available in the lounges, as that’s something that would be highly valued considering how hard it is to find kosher food in airports outside of NYC. They responded saying,
“Capital One Lounge offers a menu that will accommodate a variety of guestsā dietary requests, including gluten free and vegan options. While there are no current certified Kosher offerings, we will continue to evolve our food and beverage program based on customer feedback.”
So if you do want to see kosher food, be sure to provide feedback by writing to Capital One and if you visit a lounge, be sure to let chefs and managers there know how much you would appreciate if there were kosher food options available.
In order to access a Capital One lounge, you need to have a boarding pass for a departing or connecting flight within 3 hours to use the lounge. Unfortunately, the lounges aren’t available to use upon arrival, but hopefully that will help prevent the lounges from overcrowding.
- Venture X cardholders get unlimited free entry and can bring 2 guests for free.
- Venture XĀ additional cardholders are free, and they also get unlimited free entry and can bring 2 guests for free! There is no minimum age for additional cardholders and you don’t need to provide an SSN for additional cardholders. Read more about that card here.
- Lounge access for Capital One Venture Rewards Credit CardĀ andĀ Capital One Spark Miles for BusinessĀ cardholders is $45 per person per visit. Those cardholders also get 2 free visits per year.
- Lounge access for everyone else is $65 per visit.
- Kids under 2 are free.
Lounges feature grab and go food with to-go bags for your flight, fully stocked bars with local beers and craft cocktails, coffee bars, work zones, exercise rooms with Peloton bikes and yoga mats, nursing rooms, kids rooms, soundproof relaxation rooms, luggage lockers, multi-faith prayer rooms, and shower suites!
The shower suite features one-time use toiletries in packages that will dissolve in water as you shower. That’s an awesome way to go green without the gross shared toiletries mounted onto the wall that can be tampered with. I can’t wait to try them out!
Will you go for a Peloton workout and shower during your next connection in Dallas? Where do you hope to see future Capital One lounges?
Post a comment if you visit the new Capital One lounge in DFW and let us know your thoughts!

I can’t wait to compare the Amex Centurion lounge and the Capital One lounge when I visit Dallas next month !
Fun showdown!
If they come to NYC airport then kosher food will be a big sell for them , otherwise I donāt believe it will generate a ton of revenue in their current markets
The food isn’t sold, it’s there to get more Venture X cardholders.
I know but with little demand for kosher at these stations the revenue from sign ups wonāt be there, whereas in NYC it will be a huge sell
If you knew you could get kosher food across an entire lounge network, it would become a must have card for someone who travels and keeps kosher.
3 hours to exercise, shower, eat, and have a drink?
Sounds a little tight.
I’ve toured some cities in less time š
Lol was thinking the same!
Presumably, the 3 hour limit doesn’t apply to connecting flights, as with Centurion. So looks like you’ll have to connect in DFW for the full experience š

I was thinking of getting to the airport three hours early to enjoy the benefits, but then I remembered that I have a peloton, shower and kosher food at home. So no need to leave to the airport early.
What about quicksilver cardholders?
