Update: While this works perfectly for me still, an employee at the firm just sent me this:
“Misparchinam.com was not supposed to go live today and this information was leaked prematurely. However, we will be live in 24 hours. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
————————————————-
www.misparchinam.com is now offering a free Israeli landline phone number that you can forward to your US phone.
I just set one up to forward to my Google Voice/OBi landline phone.
With an Israeli number forwarding to your US phone number you can have relatives in Israel call your Israeli number to reach you in the US (or anywhere else you are in the world via Google Voice) as a free local landline call.

Wow, is this free long-term?
Does it work the other way as well? meaning: Can I make call from the #, as if I would be making a local call to an Isreali phone #?
it would not allow me to forward to my GV #. how did you do it? did you pay extra for it?
I just tried and got a message stating that my phone GV # is not eligible… It does start with 347, classically a cell #, so maybe thats why?
when i click on the link for the confirmation page it doesn’t give me any options for israeli #’s in the drop-down menu.
anyone else having this issue? solutions?
I tried this 3 times and they never gave me a list of numbers the lists were always blank.
Tried with my GV but message says this number is ineligible
Google voice numbers work, doesn’t seem to allow classic NY, cellphone numbers.
Really funny…. all pics on their site bear the shutterstock watermark…
@joeyjava : same issues here.
i just set up a account worked great but when i called the number i was given i got through to someone else that also set it up
what is the advantage of having it forwarded to Google number over regular home or cell number? how do we use it to call from USA to Israel?
It accepted my 917 cell number 10 minutes ago, but I am still waiting for the email with confirmation, instructions, and the Israeli number.
allowed GV for me !!
My classic NY Cell # beggining with 917 worked for me…
@farrock: same here!!! waiting for email……………
Didn’t work with my 718 Google Voice number. But it did work with my 323 cellphone number.
As am i waiting for an email confirmation… How ling is it supposed to take after it says an email has been sent your way?
http://www.misparchinam.com/howworks.aspx
They claim 347 should work…
They say I’m eligible, but still didn’t receive the email they said they sent 10 minutes ago…anyone know the timetable on this?
Calls to Israel Landline are just 2 cents per minute and calls to Israel Cellphones are just 5 cents per minute.
Dan, thank you for spreading the word.
I tried a GV 646 number (didn’t work), registered for another GV number (804) didn’t work and then tried yet another GV number in 805 area code which worked. Still waiting for the MisparChinam email.. Has been around 15 minutes
same here – i still havent gotten email even though my 917 number is eligible
email finally arrived!! THANKS DAN!!
@Yaakov: I don’t see a place to sign up for that even after going into manage my account.

I got the email! Dan, thank again..
I think, it’s time to coin a new term: dandotted 🙂
it worked for me on a regular 347 cell number. I also got an empty screen with no numbers, so i just did it again, and then it gave me a few to choose from. It says that if you dont use it for 30 days, meaning you don’t get any incoming calls or you dont answer them, then they will deactivate ur line!

I originally got message that my GV number was not eiligible, so i went to create a new GV number on a new account. when choosing the gv number, just make sure it works on misparchinam before choosing the number on gv.
got my new number and its working!! Dans the MAN!!!
@Dan and as usual Dansdeals is one step ahead 🙂

can someone explain?
what is the advantage of having it forwarded to Google number over regular home or cell number? how do we use it to call from USA to Israel?
Found my link in my spam folder LOOK THERE AND ACTIVATE, GOOD LUCK
@Mike B: my cell number worked 718
does not work to my google voice #, but works to my original cell #. hope this will work forever. thanks Dan.
Got the email. Activated it. Picked a number. Tried it and it works.
Thanks Dan
They give you a 072 area code number
not working properly. I got a number, forwarded it to my family in Israel, and a few minutes later, a call came in looking for someone else. Apparently they can assign the number to more than one person.
will they charge a hefty fee to the israeli caller to call the 072 number?
All set and working!
didnt work with a 347 goog number, but worked with a dif goog number i have.
Is it free for the reciever in US too? Or just for the israeli caller?
Who if anyone pays for the forwarding from Israel?
multiple GV numbers i tried were not eligible (347, 718 etc.) but my Verizon Wireless 917 did work, got a confirmation straight away
Looks like my account and my moms is no longer working?
I can no longer login to Manage Your Account
any1 else have this. Could it be from opening accounts from same IP?
Looks like many numbers are being sent to more than one person.
nisht a working- signed up- fwds to some angry israeli!
@farrock- or maybe your wife gave it to the wrong guy? 😉
Correction israelis pay for local I think
big sale on southwest today-dont know where to post..works for april flights so if you are returning for pesach those flights are extremely cheap, and 2 free bags
Thanks Jive Tel!
Got an existing israeli number.
How are you all getting around the GV requirement to provide a real phone number to set up an account? Can you give the same number more than once?
How can I get a UK phone number in the us for free
works with 718 on verizon
I checked it out. The website says $15 for a ‘free’ number with unlimited calls to a landline and an option to call cellphones in Israel @ 7 cents a minute. I’m not knocking them, but other companies offer same or similar or less- It’s still a good deal, but we recently did some research for bain hazmanim traveling to US, and found a lot of competition. I’m just saying that it’s always best to check out all of the option.
** Thanks for the updates. You have saved us a lot of money.**
What’s the catch to this american/israeli #? Who pays
If the number you want does not work, try a number that you dont want and works , when you get the input page for your name and email try again the # you want it may work as it did for me Good Luck
working ok now. my family in Israel was able to call me.
just got this email from them
” PLEASE NOTE …
The Jivetel site is still in BETA. Due to an earlier issue with duplicate numbers, we were forced to remove all new sign-ups that were affected. The issue has now been resolved. Kindly sign up again — and sorry for any inconvenience.”
I just confirmed with the Mispar Chinam people that ONLY if you received the “please note” email will you have to signup again. If you did NOT receive that email, your number will remain active.
@yael: so smart, u found the exact place to post!!
It’s not submiting
THANKS DAN GOT ONE FOR ME AND WIFES CELLS I DONT THINK IT WORKS TO LANDLINE #
@kracked dude…me too
land lines not eligible? only cell phones are eligible???
just got this email from them
†PLEASE NOTE …

I got the email but I can’t sign up for a new number. There’s no place to select one
I was forced to re-register for the Misparchinam number. I got the new activation link, however the phone selection page doesn’t have “submit” button..
@Shimon:
Goilem, as soon you posted this they started fixing it. Now I can’t continue adding numbers to all my family members.
Next time be smarter than just seeking to LOOK smart.
Can’t sign in thru iPhone.
@Alex try again. We had a message on top saying that we are temporarily not allowing new signups
@Choilem there are checks in place AFTER the fact that would render the number not usable even if it got through the first steps (meaning try to bypass)
@Jack
Yes, most landline are NOT eligible, most cellphones ARE.
If you port from cell to landline your number eligibility status may change
@ EVERYONE
Mailjet, which is used for processing the emails is acting up and thats why its taking long for emails to come in. Sorry we do not control that. The issues that we control are being worked on. Namely Duplicates.
Also check spam folder and whitelist misparchinam.com
It works for toronto 647 numbers!! Enjoy! Didn’t try with 416… But maybe!
So, I signed up and got a number. I am happy about that BUT Dan, does this mean I am going to start getting a bunch of spam texts as a result of giving my cell phone number out to them?
@misparchinam can the forward to # be changed once an account is created?
Also, why is it that certain google voice (specifically 347 and 917) seem to not work, while others do? Can this be fixed?
@Mike B
Its not a mistake. There is nothing to fix, This is part of the algorithm that determines eligibility.
@Mrs C
No spam… We may EMAIL you once in a while (like maybe every 30 days), but no txt spam 🙂
@ Awesome
Yes, Canada in general is OK
will my israeli friends and family be charged extra for calling me?
1) No Israeli callers will not be charged anything extra. They pay the same normal rate.
2) No you wont get any spam. I can’t get in to specifics how it works but that is not their business.
3) Why would you want to forward to GV only to forward to your cell phone. Just point it direct. It seems to only not work to GV in the NY area. GV numbers in other areas work.
4) Most Canadian numbers will work.
5) There is no free reverse service from the US to Israel but I am sure they will be happy to offer it as a paid service.
@arby
No. They are charged a regular landline call.
I smell something foul here. The only phone numbers that will work for me are cell phone numbers. I have put in about 30 GV and land line numbers with area codes ranging from 516, 347, 718 and 215. None have worked!
I suspect that once this company gets your cell phone number you will be getting Israeli spam voice messages for products to buy. Their alogorithm is trying to only allow cell phones and block land lines. Cell phones are more likely to be answered even when the caller ID is unknown.
Do the Israeli friends have to call from their cell phone or can they call from their landline?
@ Misparchim: thanks for letting me know about the spam. Emails are fine with me. I’m really excited to use your service and I wish you much luck with your business!
@Misparchinam
Thank you so much! This is awesome!
@Stu:
Worked with my Cleveland GV number.
Another question, just checking to make sure I get it:
If a call comes in to my cell phone from the Israeli number, how will I be charged by my cell phone company? As if it is a domestic call?
ask to re-register. need to sign up again? will get same number?
email ask to re-register. need to sign up again? will get same number?
GV didn’t work, my cell # did, got immediate email confirmation
@Mrs C
They can call from any phone. Its dependent on their plan what they will pay, but its treated as a local call.
You will not be charged, its an incoming call for you. It will deduct from your included minutes if you are not on a unlimited plan.
@Arby
Thanks
@Stu
The only thing foul smelling is that people try to break the rules 🙁
we obviously have a reason why we do not want landlines. We say it on the site that most landlines are NOT eligible and most cells are. I can assure you that the reason is NOT because we are wanting to spam your cell. We have a company to run, if we would spam you, you won’t be happy, we will then defeat the purpose of getting our name out there in a “good light”.
Sorry, not trying to rant, but why do you think there always has to be something more then we thought its a good marketing idea?
In any case, it would be nice if people commented on their experiences with our responses to their questions and issues that they submit. We are offering a free product and still trying to offer somewhat quick and friendly responses. Lets see google respond this fast 😉
@Mrs. C.: They can call from any number. You can in fact call from the US as well and it will work.
@Stu: I can’t get in to details of why it mainly works with cell phones but trust me there wont be any spam. Anyone here that knows the telephony market, how it woks etc. will know why mainly mobile numbers are working.
@misparchinam:
Are you actually going to deactivate all numbers that were not used in thirty days?
@Stu: worked with 973 gv #
misparchinam , is there a way to use my new israeli number when i travel to israel on the cellphone i will rent ? and what would the cost be ?
@Aaron
We might, and we might not. BUT most likely we will. The reason is that there is NOT a infinite supply of numbers. Therefore the people who USE it should get a number. The people who have no use for it should NOT get a number. SIMPLE.
@isaac
Yes, this is doable, and will cost 5 cents per minute.
Not sure that you would want to do this but the option is on the table.
I am assuming that if you are from the US, that most likely the people that are calling you are from the US. We can alternatively give you a US# which you can forward your US cellphone number to. Here’s why. It gets confusing.
You would want to forward your current US cell to Israel. Thats expensive. We can have your cell for example, 12124441111 goto another US # which is forwarded to an your Israeli rental #. This way your people can call you on your REGULAR US #, and get you in Israel @ 5cents per min.
There are other options. We can explain if you give us a call 855444JIVE (remember phone number is only for premium services).
Thanks
@Misparchinam Thank you very much for your offering. It’s a great idea!
When you have a chance, can you please check the “phone number selection page”? I am still getting “Please try this link in another hour” and there is no “submit” button.
The full message is below:
The Jivetel site is still in BETA. Due to an earlier issue with duplicate numbers, we were forced to remove all new sign-ups that were affected, and are working to correct the issue.
Please try this link in another hour.
@Misparchinam
Can you explain how we use the 2 cents per minute service to call Israel? Can that be done from any phone in the US, or just a phone that is registered with you for forwarding? Thanks.
The website seems to be working now. There is an “OK” button to click on after selecting the number and the message about trying back in an hour is gone.
@danthecan
Indeed, the website seems to be fully working. I was able to complete the registration process.
@Misparchinam
Thank you!
I am sorry..I know this is off topic but wanted to know…
Posting here becoz dan might not be visiting the original thread related to my post
Hi Dan,
Just a quick clarification. I can use AMEX/Mastercard/Visa gift cards to liquidate on amazan payments.Is that rite?
Also does the liquidation count towards receiving amount or sending amount on amazon payments?
Thanks so much in advance
Well, you can’t blame them for the troubles that they had, as they said, the site was leaked early. And I give them credit for having their site up within the 24 hours they promised.
My two numbers are up and running.
Thanks Jivetel!
still NOT working, although it was an assigned number. do i really need to re-sign up?
@misparchinam:
It works great for me. Thanks millions!
Dan you are awesome, it worked for me for both 917 and 718 numbers.
Received an email in my spam saying I had to register again due to duplicate numbers being issued. I did it and I now have another number. Just wanted to let everyone know because I am assuming this happened to a lot of people.
@josh
You would need to call us (855444JIVE) to setup the ability to make outbound calls. We do not allow the free accounts to do this as we did not want to require a credit card on signup. We wanted to keep it very simple. Name and Email. If anyone wants premium we would need a credit card. We figured that if we put a credit card request in the setup process that would discourage lots of people who would feel uncomfortable in doing so from signing up.
@RW
Words of wisdom. Its a pitty that lots of people don’t think as you do 🙁
When the site was leaked, we didn’t even have real pics up. We had placeholder images that said “shutterstock” on them. Trust me that was NOT what we wanted. Thousands of people to come to the site and it would not be ready. We worked overtime to get it done. The site re-lease was supposed to coincide with The Parnassah Expo which is taking place Tuesday February 12th. So think about it. It was re-leased WAY early. In any case, I finally got some sleep, sorry for the late replies to posts. We just all needed to go to bed already.
@Washington
Goto the contact us page. Send us a note with your email and phone number where you want the number to ring. We will check the database to see if you were assigned a number and we will send it to you (or assign one to you if one was not assigned yet).
@Zvi
Thanks
@Shmuly
Yes, Dan IS awesome. Thanks Dan from the misparchinam (jivetel) team!
@g
It happened to about 10% of signups. Its one of those bugs that don’t get cought when you only have a handful of signups at one time. However when you have 50 – 100 people signing up at the same time, that produces scenarios which were not considered. Furthermore, we were still in middle of completeing the setup process which Was NOT ready yet (and was leaked – see our other replies, and Dans original post).
@EVERYBODY
Thanks for signing up! Thanks for beinig patient. AND lastly, thanks for creating some massive traffic on our site. We are happy we were not taken down totally, only some minor bugs which we have (hopefully) all squashed.
Now we will hopefully be able to spend some time improving the product.
Works like a beauty! 🙂
worked with Google voice. Happy!!!!!! Thanks Dan!!!
awesome thanks!
it worked
Just wondering how long it takes to receive the email with the numbers. It has been a while and I haven’t received anything. Thanks.
after signing up and they give me a number theres no submit button. what do i do?
Out of free #s for now…
Will there be more free numbers coming up anytime soon? Thanks!
Works great thanx

Is this service closed off?
Not closed, but not avalible for new costumers.
Is there a way to get one?
Or for a minimal fee?
Or is there a other option like this?
Thank you!!
