American has struggled selling seats on their new Tel Aviv flights, and they’re back with another fantastic sale from Tel Aviv to the US.
Fares are basic economy, but they include a free carry-on bag, a free checked bag, and flights can be changed for free for travel on any route, though the difference in fare will still be owed. If a flight doesn’t operate you can get a full refund.
These fares are on sale for flights originating in Israel only.

Wow.
Then What’s the difference between basic and regular?
-Seat selection costs extra with basic.
-No earnings towards elite status.
Basic says No changes allowed for flights booked on or after April 1, 2021.
There is an exception posted for flights originating outside of the Americas.
Showing no changes or carry on for basic fare on aa website
Incorrect.
When I look at the different fares on AA’s website, it’s saying that basic economy doesn’t have free changes. Only main cabin does. Are you sure?
Yes, for flights from TLV.
it looks like it’s $50 more to be able to change. for the lower fare it says ‘no changes’
No, there is a waiver for basic economy free changes for tickets originating in TLV.
They told me on the phone that I can’t change (TLV-JFK) not even for a fee.
Should I try HUCA?
I called the Israel number, do you think the American number is better?
Call the US line.
Tell them to look up the basic economy exception for “New international travel originating outside of North or South America”
https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/coronavirus-updates.jsp
Also for the NYC-TLV leg? (trip starts from TLV)
Does main cabin flex have free cancelation with full refund for any reason? That would be a good reason to spend more for people that don’t have use for AA credit.
great pricing, too bad it doesn’t work for pesach for someone studying there.
it is working just booked aprial 10 till may 1
it showes by basic economy that chenges are not free unless booked before april1 2021
Not applicable for tickets originating abroad.
thanks and sorry i sent out another message before seeing you answer
Just booked April 3 and April 27. Thank you Dan. Dates were not on the list but it worked (we paid $538.12 for kids and $598 for adults)
thanks for pointing out kids under 12 are cheaper
How much does it cost to rent a car..is there a special price if one books these special prices?
Works to ewr as well
United has for $50 more and more flight options. What’s better united or American? Any reason not to use united?
United has only Newark airport
Just booked on orbitz today, Fri. When I check to canx it now it says:
Change your flight
Good news about changing your flight
Because you booked in the last 24 hours, you can cancel for a full refund in 3 days 22 hours and 48 minutes or less and then rebook.
Is that accurate? I can canx till Tues
It says they dont allow international lap infants. Any way around this?
They do.
But buy a seat at these prices!
with 500 dollars you can support an avreich i yerushlaim,
it is not a yidish way of thinking! sorry for the comment
Or you can keep your child safe. And you can sleep and your child can sleep for 24 hours of flying time.
And you can still support an avreich.
