How does putting it your name as EXTRA SEAT keep the seats next to you open?
If it’s in the same reservation it should be adjacent to you. Be sure to remind the gate agent and flight attendant.
Does any of these airlines have a good business/First class on this route?
Are these also on sale?
$638 each way in business.
Thank you Dan ! Booked a Chanukah vacation for my Family to Los Angeles $113 round trip Jet Blue ( with free Luggage using the Jet Blue Credit card ) !
Enjoy!
Does extraseat work for all airlines?
And has anyone ever tried cancelling at the last minute the extra seat?
Yes.
And does extra seat need to be booked together? Or can be separate reservation?
Should be same reservation.
I want to book basic economy for the extra seat..
According to many reports, works fine in same reservation.
What if I already booked and want to an extra seat for an infant? Do I have to call United and pay $25 or should can I just buy another seat under my own name?
My question was that I want to book regular in my name and basic for extra seat..
Wtvr I used Delta companion pass for extra seat this time
If I combine miles and United CC do I get the bag benefit?

Will doing so lose the benefit of the 1.25x conversion rate?
No
Thanks for the quick feedback – is there a risk of losing the cheap price of the original booking in the course of going through your recommended workaround?
I tried and am getting the following:
“This ticket cannot be changed through United since it was purchased from a third-party.
This ticket cannot be changed through United since it was purchased from a third-party. heading level 2
Please contact your original ticketing agency to make changes. You can select alternate flights during check-in for same-day change or if your flight has been impacted with a delay or cancellation.
This Basic Economy ticket can’t be changed and is nonrefundable except as stated in our 24-hour flexible booking policy.” š What can i do?

Should I use my United Club card to pay on Priceline or book with united points?
if my goal is getting a seat upgrade
How are you getting upgraded?
Benefit Overview
Remember, you can get a complimentary upgrade on award tickets. Be sure and check for availability. The primary Cardmember, who is also a MileagePlus PremierĀ® rmember and traveling on an award ticket, can take advantage of Complimentary Premier Upgrades on United-operated flights (when available).
United excludes EWR/JFK-LAX/SFO from complimentary elite upgrades. You would have to pay miles/cash/pluspoints for an upgrade.
Thank You!! Booked 5 tickets for Shabbos Chanukah @ $160 rt
If I booked EXTRASEAT with me, how does upgrade work. Needs to be 2 seats available? What group does EXTRASEAT go under?
Possible to only put one seat on upgrade list to increase my chance?
Tried to do this any ideas why it did not work ? I only see flights now for 250 rt
