There’s no need to buy an infant lap child at the time of making a reservation. Although realize that adding an infant will =cost you $100-$200, may be worth just buying them an adult seat…

the flight is Newark>Atlanta>JFK and then direct to Tel Aviv

How about $492 from EWR to TLV–you just have to go EWR to ATL and then JFK and then TLV, but the flight back is non-stop to JFK, and then you just get off the plane. On Orbitz, still, at Sat. night at 6PM.

Dan even though i can’t get a flight that works for me, kudos for the service you provide!! I strongly disagree that if s/o can’t get the flight he wants he shoots the messenger.

2 things, you are right regarding the Amsterdam one, but the short connection in Paris for the same price is gone already. I got for 706.

i got pesach from 3/18 until 4/4 for $720 each, making stop in amsterdam on the way there and direct to jfk on the way back via delta. i did multi-city search to dallas on the way back and i don’t have to go there.

I just made the ticket on orbitz multi city nyc-tlv and return tlv-mia and the ticket was $498 and the return is direct to JFK! my dates were 2/3-2/15
I tried a few sample dates, like 01/21-02/03, then tried 01/20-01/29, then 01/23-02/06, tried ROUND TRIP & MULTI CITY but can’t get those prices…
What am I doing wrong?

Fantastic find. Just really hard to find valid dates and no calendar option on ITA for multi-city.
Anything under $498 will error out.
But with this trick it comes out much cheaper and you can fly nonstop in JFK, claim your bags, and just throwaway the ticket to MIA.

i have two laptops at home and a cell with internet. all 3 were giving me different prices all night. u really have to keep playing around and maybe clear your computer first (control-alt-delete). eventually i booked five tickets using multi-city.
on way to israel search nyc-tlv
on way home type tlv- (boston, washington, dallas , miami)…i played around until i used one. but u can get off in jfk and not even continue on to your stopover.
and priceline, orbitzm expedia also give three different things…just keep playing but from experience orbitz was the best.

i think there is a difference between orbitz and priceline.
orbitz will give the tickets for cheaper for kids where as priceline wont.

I think that all these ‘deals’ are really being sponsored by the israeli govt. This is part of their tourism push to get yidden to come to eretz yisroel. We are dumb enough to think its pricing errors and get all exciting and go running for it. Bottom line, every gains!

Just called Orbitz to add my daughter as a lap infant. They charged a total of $100.40 for the taxes. I would suggest calling Delta directly to add a lap infant as I had to call them afterwards to confirm and make sure everything was correct.
They told me that the infant ticket would be sent via US mail as they do not yet have electronic booking for lap infant….WTF.
Pesach dates that work if ur flexible with dates on priceline is for $592 from march 13 until april 8.

@rachel: to get the service fee waived cal and cancel with a rep on the phone . When canceling online u lose the service fee but on the phone they refund that to u as well
