Hyatt announced today that all of their resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and South America will offer at least 2 free COVID tests per room.
The tests will allow Americans to be able to return to the US under new testing requirements that started today.
Hyatt will also offer 50% off rooms and 30% off food and beverage if there are testing related delays. Plus, rooms booked with those discounts will still qualify for all Hyatt promos.
Will this offer make you more likely to stay in a Latin American Hyatt resort?

Thanks. Partially true. Negative tsting is needed to enter certain states, e.g. MA, to avoid quarantine. Also, some people have need for testing to comply with school or work requirements.
The Hyatt website does not include PR for this program.
I hope they’re spit tests. If so, I won’t really mind the testing and the fact that they would be free and convenient WOULD increase my likelihood of visiting.

@Dan, did you ever get clarification on the point stays potentially being excluded? i plan on going on points to the Andaz in a few weeks. Terms on above link state “Antigen test is not included on reservations made with World of Hyatt points.”
Does that specifically exclude antigen and not the PCR? I believe i would need the PCR to get back into the US, no?
