Does Tap to Pay WORK in the USA? I’ve used it many times in the UK and Australia, but I’ve tried in several times in the USA and it didn’t work. I gave up. I do successfully use Google Pay in the USA with my US Bank Altitude Reserve which effectively has a 4.5% cashback to use on travel expenses.
I use it all the time.
Different banks or the same one? I’ve tried both AMEX and Citi cards in the USA at least 6 or 7 times and it never worked. I assume you’ve just put the card next to the credit card reader, like with mobile pay apps? “Everyone” pays this way in Australia, and my USA cards worked just fine there.
maybe the store that you have tried in the US didnt accept tap and pay or their system was down..
but yes it does work.

virtually every store takes apple pay….first day on the planet?
don’t think apple pay works for this offer as it’s considered third party. guess will have to try to find out.
