In June, JetBlue announced 30 new routes, with a focus from Newark and on leisure routes.
With COVID-19 decimating business travel, refocusing their network on leisure routes became a priority.
United answered with flights designed to hit back at JetBlue, such as Boston, Cleveland, and LaGuardia to Florida. United has been offering rock bottom fares on those routes.
And now JetBlue is back for more with 24 new routes. These attack United in Newark and Delta in Raleigh/Durham, so it should also be fun to watch and see if those airlines respond to JetBlue’s latest incursion.
JetBlue previously said they would grow their Los Angeles presence, and they are doing that in a big way.

Which of these new routes are you excited to fly?
JetBlue also announced an extension of their change fee waiver, including on basic economy fares, for tickets purchased through 2/28/21. Clearly they have no intention of eliminating change fees in the near term as their competitors have.

FLL-BZN is interesting.
Probably not waiving change fees in order to maintain unique benefit for their mosaics. It’s not like they have lounges and benefits that the other airlines have.
I prefer JetBlue’s wait and see approach with change fees. United and other legacy airlines will add them back after business recovers in 2-4 years. I can already see your post about them reinstituting change fees. You’ll point out that if you purchased your ticket before they changed the policy you’ll still get to change for free…
Yes who among us doesn’t want 2-4 years without change fees when we can pay them for the next 2-4 years!
Too bad airlines totally ignore buffalo in new routes or deals. If they would have deals they will be able to compete with Air Canada flights out of Toronto as it’s less than 2 hour drive and Toronto prices are usually very high.

Is the change fee waved for award travel as well?
Yes
Lax pbi is an interesting one especially to put mint service on. Pbi usually has high fares I don’t know why more airlines aren’t trying to get a bite
