Update: These fares have been matched by Alaska and United through the end of scheduling. Note that Alaska doesn’t have lie-flat seats.

JetBlue has some of the lowest transcontinental lie-flat business class fares that I’ve ever seen.
Their mint business class seats normally sell for $599-$1,599 each way, but are on sale for just $368-$398 each way between Newark and Los Angeles.
Plus, they are blocking seats through at least September 8th, so they are only selling 10 out of the 16 seats in the cabin:
The single seats in row 2 and 4 are closed in suites with doors:
The double seats in rows 1, 3, and 5 have blocked seats through September 8th, so you can have a lot of extra space if you pick those seats:
Which seats will you pick?
United also has fares available on lie-flat and direct aisle access Polaris business class seats:

Using Chase Points:
You can pay for the ticket with “hybrid points” such as AMEX or Chase points with a card that allows your points to be used at an increased value for airfare in addition to be able to transfer points into airline miles.
If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve® card you can redeem points for 1.5 cents each towards travel. If you have a Chase Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card® Card or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card you can redeem points for 1.25 cents each towards travel.
You can login to your account and redeem Chase points for travel here. The cost will be just 24,540 points each way with a Sapphire Reserve! That rate include all taxes and you will still earn flight miles as well!
Using AMEX points:
- If you have an AMEX Business Platinum Card you can get a 35% rebate of points used on all airlines in business class.
- If you have an AMEX Business Gold Card you can get a 25% rebate of points used on all airlines in business class.
You can login to your account and redeem AMEX points for travel here.
This is bookable for 36,810 points with AMEX. Plus you’ll get back a rebate of 12,884 points with the Business Platinum Card or 9,203 points with the Business Gold Card, dropping the total needed to as low as 23,926 points. That includes all taxes and you can still earn miles for flying!

Feel like these are gunna be full with everyone traveling for chag
Haha good idea! With free cancellations in place, I booked for right before Sukkos EWR-LAX.
Are Mosaic benefits preserved if tickets purchased through travel agent, e.g., through AMEX? Will I be able to change or cancel without penalty? Presumably through Mosaic dedicated phone line?
Yes, all preserved.
Thanks! I’ve been waiting for a chance to splurge on Mint, though I can’t complain about all the ghetto lie-flat I had back in the spring time. I’m booking LAX-EWR-BOS in the hopes of doing a same-day change to LAX-BOS nonstop….
Nice, good luck!
Any chance that they have 2 seats in a closed suite ?
No, only the single seats have doors.
Unless he means 2 available in closed seats
SFO EWR is $399.
Pretty sweet, just booked 5 seats for the family, (getting 8 seats due to seat blockage), booked with amex platinum, 250k round trip after 35% rebate.
Awesome!
I highly recommend it. Better some international business class airlines
Whats the cancellation policy?

I thought no ksml…
JetBlue tells me that you can order KSML now.
Finding some availability on UA from EWR to LAX the week of Succos in business saver. Most flights only 1 seat avail, but Tues Sept 29, a couple flights have 2 seats available. They are bookable through Turkish for only 12.5k in business!!
I booked on the JetBlue site directly and used my JetBlue plus card. Figured I stand to earn between 9-12 points per dollar spent. At this incredible price I think it would be wasteful to use the chase Sapphire Reserve points that I’m hoarding for something big.
Also hoping to get a same day flight change to Jfk though.
I just wish you got reimbursed for cancellations rather than travel bank but still decent without the cancellation fees.
Thanks Dan
Do the single seats have less legroom than the doubles?
Seeing the same fares on United now.
Flights are coming up as $787
These are one-way prices.
Not finding any on UA for the 787-10 flights. Those are pricing at $1,000+ each way.
