Hyatt is my favorite hotel chain, by a long shot.
Their competitors continue to heavily devalue their points, but Hyatt has kept their valuable point structure and has limited hotel category creep that has plagued their competition. That means it’s still valuable to transfer Chase points to Hyatt, while transfers to other hotel chains are typically not worthwhile.
One annoyance has been that you had to call Hyatt to use points for suites. But you now book them online and there are some great values!
Hyatt Globalists get 4 annual confirmed suite upgrades, which book into the standard suite category. Each upgrade is valid for up to 7 nights of a paid or award stay. You can earn Globalist status through spending on the World of Hyatt credit card.
You can also save an additional 15% off awards with this promotion.
If you have the excellent World of Hyatt credit card you will save 25% off awards and get 2,500 bonus points with this stackable promo.
The World of Hyatt credit card is an excellent card and comes with 50,000 points in addition to annual free nights, elite status, and promotions. You can read more about the World of Hyatt card here. You can apply now and still take advantage of the 25% back and 2,500 point promotions!
Hyatt always waives resort fees on award stays.
Plus, all award stays from today through 10/8 will come with free parking! Hyatt Globalist elites will also get free parking on paid stays through 10/8.
You can transfer points instantly from Chase to Hyatt if you have a card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Sapphire Reserve.

Will this effect your chances of getting a free upgrade to a suite?
If people book up all the standard suites, then this will be bad news for Globalists.
Not seeing the suite options on the app.
Try on your browser?
Yes works
Not seeing them for AI’s – CUN/PUJ.
I see suite award options for Ziva/Zilara Cancun and Ziva/Zilara Cap Cana on my computer.
Weird as Ziva shows but a totally different screen layout but no suites for Zilara CUN with original layout.
Next they gotta show online the cash rate which you can use points to upgrade to suites
Where’s the travel DISCLAIMER?
Why only on travel deals/news?
Am I the only one who sees rates as “confidential”? Yes, I have enough points in my account.
Try from a computer?
Works, thanks.
looks like i should go back to my home country Nepal and stay like a king at the hyatt regency 5 star resort for 8k points in premuim suite a night. i stayed for 3 weeks with my family before. my relatives were shocked how a room costing $500 a night is something we can stay for 3 weeks! lol.
This is awesome. I’ve used points for Hyatt suites plenty of times and it has become my go to option recently BC. Much simpler to book online, and more so when overseas you don’t have to pay for a long distance call.
Isnt Park Hyatt NYC category 8?
No.
can you pay with points for an upgrade using your annual free night?
No.
Do you need to be logged in to see these suites upgrade pricing? Looks like maybe only some upscale properties have these upgrade pricing
The 2,500 additional bonus points is it for one night or throughout the stay ?
Dan, If I registered today, and booked 4 months ago for award nights, and stay within time frame, I’ll still receive 25% back if I have Hyatt card? Or do I need to cancel and rebook award nights?
Andaz Wall St (NYC) has really nice suite for 40k
Thanks for the info. If I don’t have any hotel cc, and I’m looking to go to hotel, whats the best way of booking?
Upgrade back to reserve and if yes do either through chase ur points or reg cc and pay yourself back?
