Another day, another airline change fee waiver. JetBlue, Alaska, American, BA, El Al, Delta, and United previously announced free change policies due to coronavirus. Of course Southwest always has free changes.
Air France and KLM have now released a systemwide free change policy.
Best of all their policy is valid for both existing bookings and for new bookings made through March 31st, for travel through May 31st.
You can change your flight date to travel until May 31st with no change fee or difference in fare in the same booking class. You can make the changes online or over the phone.
Alternatively you can cancel your trip over the phone and receive a voucher that will be valid for a year on all Air France and KLM flights!
KLM’s waiver allows for rebookings on Delta and Virgin as well.
Will this policy influence you to book Air France/KLM for your next flight?

Is this only for paid Tix? Or award Tix as well?
I’ve asked for clarification, but generally if it doesn’t say awards excluded as American’s did, it should cover award and revenue tickets.
Can you ask for clarification if the travel credit is only for the traveler of if it’s transferable? Also, will I get the change if I rebook to a cheaper flight?
I am booking a ticket in KLM at the moment to Africa in April I hope things calm down by then…If not I am sure another waiver will come…
How would this work for a DL partner award on AF?
I have an intl award for travel 3/29 but issued back in Jan. DL site still shows the $150 change fee but I’ve seen reports of agents manually waiving the fee. Also, AF/KLM policy has no fare difference unlike DL.
Do you know anything about Austrian airlines?
Curious if this would allow you to book $2500 rt business from TLV and change to Delta One (non-stop)?
Yes, as long as the same fare class is available for Delta
You can only change your travel dates if the same fare type as mentioned in your original ticket is available. If you change to a higher fare type, you may need to pay the fare difference. Looks like YOU ARE SUBJECT TO DIFFERENCE IN FARE IN CASE OF HIGHER FARE!
What happens if I start my trip before May 31st and return later. Will I still be able to change my outbound? And what about the inbound?
What about air Serbia for all of us who were going to Israel?
Booked a flight and it seems they are still charging the fare difference…
Any update with Aeroflot?
