Iberia: NYC To Tel Aviv For Just $702.20 Round-Trip With Tax!

I’d be interested to know what the best deals are to Israel in Business or First class. Anyone have any ideas?

how can you be sure that this flight earns full miles? Last time i booked a ticket via orbitz i only got SOME of the miles (later on i found out that it was a DDF, or deep discounted fare. ) how can I be sure this won’t happen now?

@Question: You need to check the airlines’ website to see if you earn full miles or not. What Dan means is that you’ll get the same amount of miles if book with Orbitz that you would if you booked on Iberia’s website.

Shell out the $1,400 and save up until you have 240K to fly 2 people in BusinessFirst to Israel for a future trip…or use 160K miles to fly 2 people in BusinessFirst to Hawaii 🙂

Similar fares available from Chicago too I found $765 for travel in the same time period.

flights in the summer are really expensive…. start at about 1300 not direct and 1600 direct…

I flew Iberia to Israel over Pesach just now. It was Iberia (it says AA, but the plane was Iberia) from NY to Madrid, and Elal from Madrid to TA.
Plane was very nice and comfortable, much nicer than El Al, and the service was good as well. The food, however, was an atrocity. so be prepared to bring your own food. not only did it look nasty, but they messed up the kashrus status of it by heating it after opening the package.

I am having trouble now with Aerosvit so beware! I am trying to get money back for lost baggage (it showed up almost 3 weeks later) and they seem to prefer not to pay. Maybe someone here has an idea, I would be happy to hear.

Had I spent the 3 minutes on the phone with AMEX Platinum, I would have enrolled in the premium baggage coverage and got the money from them for delayed baggage.

Besides for the lost luggage, it was a manageable flight with Kiev KBP a bit crazy and stupid but bearable.

if you see the times you like, DONT WAIT! book it!
i did everything thru Iberia.com where you have an option of paying 48 hours later.

the flight insurance Orbitz offers is a bit overpriced.
I always get my travel insurance from an insurance broker. provides a great company with excellent claims service. (I’ve had a claim or two)
