please put this in red font
“If you’re traveling on a Basic Economy ticket and bring a carry-on bag to the gate, your bag will need to be checked and you’ll be required to pay the applicable checked bag fee plus a $25 gate handling charge (payment by credit card only).”
basically this fare has a $55 carry on fee.
united is the only non ulcc to have this added carry on baggage fee
Get a United card or don’t bring a large carry-on.
amazing deal! thank you
can i use my united card and ur points?
Your screenshot is looking no good!!!! I see their selling Economy plus seperately which means we should expect to need to pay for them soon as 1k’s?
When using UR no United cars possible
Chase take your united
But pay airline w their own mc
So no free luggage
Better pay w your united card
That would give me free carry on? Check in? Both ?
This gave me a headache!

Translation to English…. If you book through Chase Portal, even if you charge taxes and fees to a United card, you will not get the luggage benefit of a United cardholder. Chase books the ticket internally on their own and does not report the United CC charge to United.
Buyer beware… booking through Chase portal, paying via United card, does not give you benefits as a United cardholder.
