It’s not much of a secret that I’m a huge UppaBaby fan.
We started off with a Bugaboo Frog that we got free thanks to AMEX. After all, that’s what all the cool kids seemed to have.
Except it was hard to push, especially in the snow or on bad sidewalks. And it had a tiny, hard to reach basket.
Then we saw someone else with an UppaBaby Vista. It pushed like a dream and had a basket large enough for an entire grocery trip. We were sold.

My airport strategy is to not fly with kids. This has been very helpful in the past.
With one kid? Bring a Doona. And if you did not pay for a seat for the baby ( I know Dan strongly advises against not buying a seat, but if you didn’t,) make sure you convince the gate agent and luggage handler to let you take it on the plane and put (read:stuff) it in an overhead cabin. (Note: It will depend what plane you’re flying as to whether it will fit).
Why stuff it in the overhead?
Why not check it till after the flight
Cause when you spend a good $500 on a stroller, the worst thing would be to to get off a plane and see your doona coming out of the bottom of the plane after having been the centrepiece for the baggage handlers game of catch..
We are flying this week for the first time with 2 kids (ages 2 yr and 3 mos) with our Vista per rec of Dan! We also have a summer infant umbrella and a Britax B Agile and were debating about how to handle this but decided to stick with the double for this trip so that we had an extra hand available to carry a bag instead of push a stroller. Stay tuned…
The vista / mesa travel system is showing up as $1,067
Thanks got it for same price on Amazon, combined with the registry discount!
