You can now book the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal with Hilton points. It’s Trip Advisor’s top ranked hotel in Cabo and is Travel + Leisure’s World’s top resort in Mexico this year.
Similar to the Waldorf Astoria Maldives, you’ll need a whopping 120K points per night, though with Hilton’s devalued currency that’s still a bargain. But it’s painful to think that just 6 years ago top-tier Hilton hotels could be had for 37.5K points per night.
With a 5 night stay you can pay 96K points per night with the 5th night free award that is available to Hilton cardholders and elites.
Even the base rooms come with a private plunge pool.
Sample paid rate versus the points rate:
That’s $6,735 after tax versus 480K for a 5 night stay, a value of 1.4 cents per Hilton point. That value will vary by date, but is very good for Hilton points. You can currently buy points on sale for just 0.5 cents each. 480K points would cost $2,400 or $480/night, a fraction of the paid rates at this hotel.
Chabad of Cabo has tourist information on their website and operates a kosher restaurant. They’re located just 1.2 miles from the Waldorf! Discuss more about Cabo on DDF here.
Will you use points at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal?

do you think that this is the new top tier cost going forward? would they hike up the waj cost also?
Yes, aspirational WA properties will be 120K.
The WAJ isn’t in that caliber and should stay at 95K.
I don’t see any days for 4 people for 120k. Only have king rooms 🙁
Book for 3 people…
Wish I could leave both kids at home but my wife would not approve :). Or are you saying book for 3 and show up with 4
Did you ever eat noodle soup?
can you use Certificates for this?
Zika?
Talk to your Dr.
And look at the CDC map…. USA is just as bad as Mexico.
The CDC Zika map is an embarrassment.
Help me out here..a partial ocean King room, for Jan 27-29 seems like it’s 240,000 points a night, and that is the cheapest room. So, I need 480,000 points.
Is there a 5/24 on the Hilton card, and is the annual fee worth it just for the points?
No, the 240K rate is for 2 nights. It’s 120K/night for those nights.
There is no 5/24 and if you get the business card it won’t add to your 5/24.
Darn, was booking over XMas /New Years, now sold out after post
Will you have to pay taxes and or service charge when using points
No
Proof that these “resort fees “and “service fees” are bogus. .if not why would they ever waive them ?
Can we please get ideas on how to fly there with points?
I’m not seeing any non stop flights from NYC… anyone know if there are any?

do you think the Hilton points will still be on sale in three months once the sign-up bonus points hit?
Glad to help anybody with any questions or info related questions when booking a trip to Cabo. We at Chabad of Cabo are located just a few blocks from the Waldorf Astoria. It is probably one of the most centrally located luxury hotels in Cabo and we’ll be happy to help with any trips, tours, transportation arrangements or suggestions.
