Update 2: There are reports on the DansDeals Forums that Amazon charged the full price for some of these orders. You can check your invoice in your order history by clicking on “Order Details” to be sure you were charged the correct amount.
If you see the incorrect amount charged on your order, you should call or chat with Amazon to get refunded. You can provide proof of the correct amount from your order confirmation email.

Hi! Whats the discover/amex promotion? I dont see anything about that.
Thanks!
click on the link on this page to activate the promo on your amazon account before you check out
Ughhhhhhhhhhhh Totally missed the deal. I had stuff to do and didn’t realize it was so time sensitive! Thanks Dan for the info. I will keep better tabs next time! Too bad you can’t send a text alert lol
$47.99 for me
Oos but ordered and locked in price. How does that work? When will it come?
if reselling, will this come synced to your amazon account?
Yeah, you’ll have to go into the “Manage Your Content and Devices” section of your Amazon account to unlink it.
I see the fire, and fire tv stick, but none for echo, does echo also have to be deregistered?
Yes, Echo has to be deregistered too. Once it ships it should show up there.
Is the AMEX 20% Off when using 1 MR limited to one-time usage or can it be redeemed multiple times? I am registered for the 20% off and it worked on other deals but I could not get it to work on this product.
Caps out at $50 in savings per Amazon account.
Try linking your card to a household account.
Amex came out to $12 for me
Dan, How can I avoid the taxes on Amazon?
ship to NJ…etc…
Amex promo doesn’t apply to this one after ordering the previous standing case deal
Got 1 for 6.52.
Thanks!
Came out to $2 but used $2 of my $10 from Whole Foods promo so it was free. Thanks!
Nice!
Same here! Ships in October. As always thanks Dan!
How do I become targeted for the amex discount? Do I need a gold amex card?
https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/amazon/targeted-use-1-amex-membership-rewards-point-get-20-off-anything-sold-amazon/
Your link to the 30-day trial Amazon is for Amazon Prime Video only? Is there one for Amazon Prime?
That’s the same thing.
Why are my UR points not linked when linking card
Got it for $22! Dont know why the amex $30 promo didnt work this time though.. Is it because it can only be used once?
Yes, once per Amazon account.
Did you try the other targeted promotion links? Try linking your cards to a another household Amazon account?
Not sure about the once per account, I ordered 8.
You can order as many as you want for $21. The $30 promo is once per account.
Which $30 promo??
Is it not the $50 promo ?
https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/amazon/roundup-targeted-amazon-discounts-use-amex-chase-discover-points-offers/
So If this was my first time using 1 MR points and I subscribed to both promos from which one would it go down ?
Whichever makes it cheaper for you.
So I wouldn’t know I guess until I try it next time
I’ve tried my other household account and wasn’t targeted for the 20% . so annoying.. Why am I never targeted? I shop on amazon quite a bit
I don’t understand. I am applying 1 point but the promotion isn’t happening. Help!

Price went up to $47.99 before tax.
Dead 🙁
Was alive for nearly an hour, which is 5 lifetimes for a deal of this caliber!
Where were you?
I’m seeing 47.9$ in the cart-is the offer over?
Yup, see post update.
What’s the amex code?
https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/amazon/roundup-targeted-amazon-discounts-use-amex-chase-discover-points-offers/
is this a regular tablet or does it only work with amazon stuff?
How come when I add it to the cart it does not show Prime Savings?
Also, I tried to link the Chase card and said I am not eligible. Why is that?
Call chase card and they shall give you the $50 credit
Right…rolls eyes
The confirmation screen showed a total of $0.00 (I didn’t think to take a screen shot), but the confirmation email shows $19.58 and the “Order Details” show the same.
If I don’t want to pay $19.58 for this, should I cancel? Did others who paid $0.00 get confirmation emails showing $0.00?
I placed my order at 2:41, so I may have missed it by a moment.
Thanks Dan! Clicked on the link right when u got Twitter text and got for $21 even tho outa stock
@Dan, I don’t know if comments on old posts get your attention, but people need to be made aware of this;
While I was excited to get in on this deal at the $21.00 price, my items just shipped and I happened to realize that I was charged $47.99!!! I reached out to amazon, and after some resistance (explaining it was a price mistake, so they ‘updated’ the pricing later, etc.), they honored the checkout price. It was quite disconcerting to me that “Earth’s most customer centric company” would be as deceptive as to change the price, along with online order details, after a sale, without contacting the customer. Luckily I had the initial email confirmation to back me up (wait till amazon could change that through AWS as well!!!).
I had similar experience. Pls check amount charged on your account.
Yup, same thing here. Bought a bunch of these tablets and only 1 of them reflected the correct amount. Best bet is to contact amazon once each one of your orders is completely fulfilled, that way no new charges should hit that order. Also, you can advise that chat rep to print the invoice, and they will see that the grand total does not match the shipment prices etc.
I’m still figuring out best way to go about this. But it seems that once the order is complete and everything on it is delivered, then the order self corrects itself to the correct higher price. So unless, you show them a copy of the original email confirmation, you might be out of luck. For one of my orders everything shipped except 1 case. So they refunded me for everything except the case and the first charge. So an order of 2 tablets you will receive 4 charges. Two charges of 38 and two charges of 9. When you should only be charged 41 plus tax. So they refunded me everything but the case that will only be charged once the case ships out.
I had ordered 13 of these. I’ve been receiving them 1-2 at a time for the past 2 months, and I just now finished receiving them all. First 7 I was charged the correct $21 plus tax, the last 6 I was charged $47.99 plus tax and the invoices now reflect that in my Amazon account (the invoice shows the $46.99 prime savings but removes the additional $26.99 prime savings). After lengthy call with Amazon, they said they do see there was an error with the promotions on the orders that billed the higher amount. They said they will refund the difference, but cannot do it from their end, so sending over all the information to the marketing and promotions department, and they should take care of it and email me within a day. I will try to post follow up here once updated.
Follow up –
Marketing and promotions department emailed me within an hour, but they did not have the whole story like they were supposed to, and I had to explain it to them all again. It was a little hard replying to their emails, because it didn’t usually let replies. After sending email with screenshots of confirmation emails, they refunded the $26.99 mischarge amount per tablet, but not the tax I was charged. Took more phone calls and a live chat until they told me they have to send it to the tax department, and a couple days later they refunded me the tax (actually they over-refunded me a total of $8 and change, but I think I deserve it). Also got a $5 promo for next order thrown in from the live chat.
I’m shocked Amazon can do such a thing without any apologies, etc. It has to be against their terms.
When i placed my order it didn’t discount. What did I do wrong?
Original order total $2.13
now showing for $30.01.
Called to sort it out. Thanks!
Not showing the discounted price on cart!!
Try changing the date to 7/15 should work.
Wow. Thank you for pointing it out. Sure enough they charged me $47.99 instead of $21! After tax it was a $28.78 overcharge! Took some time to dig everything out. The chat took a while as well… but they readily admitted it was a technical error and credited me back the $28.78. I took them to task for being aware of the technical issue and not taking the proactive step of auditing these orders and fixing them. They gave me a canned response that their technical teams are working on this to be sure it does not happen again. This really erodes my confidence in them here. I would have at least expected some minor courtesy credit to show they care. I had to give the rep high marks for his professionalism and yadda yadda, but in the follow-up survey I did lower the mark for overall with those comments.
Thank you for this PSA. I just chatted with Amazon and they said they can only refund $20 to my original payment method and give me the other $10 as an Amazon credit. We made a deal and they gave me an extra $20 credit (plus the $20 refund on my card) for the hassle.
If they overcharged you more than that, I hope you’re not settling for that. If you have the email confirmations showing what the correct charge was supposed to be, you should be able to get it back. Amazon’s not handling this case well, but eventually you should get it.
Thanks for update, never would have checked, bought two, overcharged $56, they refunded the $56 once i chatted with them
By the way, if you no longer have the email confirmation because you deleted it etc. They can look it up and find it. Might take them a while, but they are able to do it. That’s how i was able to get some of my orders refunded.
Thanks Dan. I just got refunded $26.27 after being overcharged!
