Earlier this month Walmart announced it was going to match Amazon’s free one day shipping, but the obvious caveat was you need a $35 minimum order to get free shipping at Walmart. As opposed to Amazon where the minimum is $25 or free on all orders for Prime Members.
Walmart does offer free store pickup on all orders, but that doesn’t work for people located in NYC and other cities where there are no Walmarts close by. But now Walmart is offering free pickup from select FedEx locations!
Back in 2013-2015 Walmart offered this option but quietly ended it. But it is once again available during the checkout process.
Simply select pickup during checkout:
And then it will show you the closest pickup option:

For example you can get an Igloo Island Breeze 9-Quart Cooler for $9.97 with free pickup from select FedEx stores.
You must be signed into an account to see pickup options, and this may be targeted to just select accounts.

I just tried it with both items you have listed as examples and there was no option for pickup by a FedEx location.
What is your zip code? And did you do it on the right checkout page as shown in the post?

Amazons $25 limit doesn’t give you 1 day shipping unless you have Prime, in fact if you aren’t a prime member you can wait 10+ days for your Amazon fulfilled order vs Walmart if you order for 35 bucks you get your order in 2+-days to your door!

works for me at both my home 11213 and work 10018 zip codes. for some reason though, not all products are eligible. i tried a scooter and it works but not for the cooler or yahtzee:(
