Is there a way of measuring up this kitchen-aid to a bosch? How many pounds of flour (for challah) can this one hold?
grabbed one!
Rebate does not seem to include the 2 models in the sale.
I see KitchenAids on sale at Macy’s all the time – is this a better than normal sale? Also, this is the best KitchenAid model, correct?
@DMI: @DMI: I use this one to make Challah. It cant’ really handle five lbs-I use it for approx. 3.
@DMI:
@Anonymous:
My wife uses 5 pounds of flour to make Challah every week in her 6 quart Professional Kitchenaid without any problems.
@arie:
Sure it is, Amazon even checks off the right model for you on the rebate form!
It’s the KP26M1(X) where X refers to the various colors that are all eligible.
@Marco:
Usually the 5 quart kitchenaid is on sale there, this is a much more powerful model than that one.
And this is even cheaper than the advertise the 5 quart model for!
Hey Dan, Thanks for the great deal!
How exactly does one get the additional 24$ rebate?
Thanks again..
Buying as a gift for my wife. I have no idea which color she’d prefer, so I’m gonna go with the silver. Should she want a different color, how complicated would it be to exchange?
Thank you!!
@dan:
Kp26m1 stands for the model number. (X) is not part of the model number and means whatever color. In this case its (psl) silver or (pgc) gloss cinamon. Did I get it right? Also can you give us a little better instructions how to get the 24? Do you need to write a request along with the rebate form? Or just send it plain.
@Daniel: see post “For the bonus $24 rebate, as printed on the $50 rebate:

looks like amazon pulled the rebate info.
kitchen aid wont honor the rebate for this model
@me:
Where do you make this stuff up from?
The model is specifically included on the rebate form and the rebate form is listed right on the Amazon product page!
Not available anymore in silver
Try clicking on the rebate link on Amazon’s page and your page, it does not work
@Leo:
It works fine. Try using a different browser or downloading adobe reader.

dan is your wifes challah good or would it be better from a bosh mixer…remember whatever you buy lekavod shabbos you get back double… so dan dont be cheap on your wifes cheshban because if her challah isnt good you cause her great embarresment … dan for once in your life you can pay full price for something like a bosh mixer… dan dont be cheap when it comes to shabbos koidesh
@pritzus fighter:
What an asinine comment.
My wife’s challah is the best in town, thank you very much.
Do they teach you how to insult people like that in your mussar shmoozen?
They say a bosch is best for dough for challah if you make a full 5LB ( to make bracha on hafroshas challa) which is very thick. Kitchen aid is best for cakes etc. We have both.
My wife likes the Silver, not the Gloss Cinnamon…oh well.
Also @pritzus fighter: Wow. Just wow.
I really appreciate this!! My mixer is over 20 years old and I’ve been wanting to replace it, and I’m so grateful that I can get such a great model for less than I thought I’d have to pay to replace my 4.5 quart mixer! Yasher Koach and keep up the good work!
when it asks where you purchased it do you say amazon? what about city and state where purchased? it says it is not valid if bought on auction sites, does that include amazon?
@rebdude:
I would just write Amazon.com and your home city.
Amazon is not an auction site. eBay is an auction site.
Just bought the red one and I really really hope this thing can handle 5 pounds of bread. That is the main thing we need this for and way too many reviewers pointed out the issue handling bread.
Is this still available?
Deal Dead
@dan
amazon is still saying order it now. will be in stock dec. 3rd. The rebate offer says order by 11-28. and get rebate. it seems as if you order today you can still get the rebate even if it ships december 3rd. why do you say dead? its still 259.00
@fred:
I don’t see any option to buy it for $259.
If you do then grab it!
hmmmm now i check back 2 minutes later and its totally unavailable.
@DMI: This mixer CAN NOT hold 5 pds of flour for Challah believe I know what I am talking about I own 3 of these. You have to figure 3 1/2 cups of flour per pound of flour. If you try & make 5pds of flour in this mixer you will burn out the motor been there done that
But it is a wonderful machine to bake w/ like I said I own 3
I purchased it and while filling out the rebate form- it says serial number ( located on registeration card) what is this serial number?
My bad
@pritzus fighter
Get a life
(Dan, please delete the previous comment. Thanx)
what do I need to write along with the $50 rebate form, to that addtess you wrote to get the $24 magizine rebate, it’s unclear , please explain
@pritzus fighter: my wife spent good money on Bosch and would much rather have the kitchen aid
@pritzus fighter:
Please get off of dansdeals and go learn. get a life ur not wanted here!!!
Does anyone know if there is a packing slip in the box, bc it looks like its shipped in its box directly from kitchen aid to amazon and then to me, and I want to make sure that the person I am giving it to as a gift doesnt find out how much it is.
Dan, I see its been marked down to $279 and then the rebates. Not as good as the original deal, but still a deal.
