Herzog Winery also houses Tierra Sur, one of the finest and well executed kosher restaurants that I’ve ever been to, so don’t miss that if you go out there! The chef there has a menu that is constantly changing, I’ve been there a few times and each time it’s with a brand new and innovative menu, always with unique and delicious flavors.
It’s about an hour (traffic dependent of course!) west of LA in the valley. Hit up the boats on the water in Oxnard and the massive outlet mall in Camarillo and you can make an overnight trip out of it if you want. And don’t miss Pizza Nosh in Agoura Hills on the way back to LA.
