Google Express is pretty awesome. Whenever we need an item from the grocery store or Costco we’ll just order it and have it within 1 or 2 days. I’ve developed quite the habit for La Croix Grapefruit and Key Lime seltzer because of Google. Available stores vary by the region of your delivery address. If you’re in the LA region you can even order from Western Kosher.
Google Express launched with a membership based model charging $99/year after a free trial. However Google Express abandoned the paid membership model in favor of higher free shipping thresholds from most stores.
They also continue to keep adding new stores.
It is cool that you can still use an AMEX at Costco with Google Express, as that allows you to take advantage of benefits like extended warranty, etc.

I just signed up (used your referral link) and ordered a $300 item. The order came to just over $330 after taxes making it 10% sales tax. Funny thing is, in my county tax is 6%. Thats disappointing.
The order was placed from Target, which they have in my city.
Any explanation as to why I was charged 10% as opposed to the 6% charged in my county?
Has happened to me before. You pay tax based on the store contracted to ship the items to you.
Is there a way to get a second code with a second number from the same phone?

it is common with Google Express to charge higher tax as it might “bought and shipped” your order from neighboring state that might higher tax. I have heard it is sometimes will adjust later on … but never happened to me. ie. my state sales tax is 6% and I usually got charged 10% sales tax. also items from Costco cost more sometimes at Google Express. Rarely use them now bcos of the above
