not able to participate in promo…

Was able to get 3,000 miles for me, wife, three year old daughter and four month old daughter. Although my wife’s second AA account was dinged.

Just earned 3000. I have aa miles that are expiring – as well as continental miles. Any good suggestion on how to use them – or transfer them to an account that doesn’t expire and then use them when I go on vacation? Thanks!

When are your AA miles expiring? If you earn or spend a single mile then all of your miles are renewed for 18 months.

Continental miles do not expire.

If you want the maximum amount of miles, update your AA preferences to not get any email from them before following the link. Then, maybe wait a bit, and then follow the link and you should be able to get the full 500 for each subscription.

If you have gmail (maybe others also), you should be able to set a filter so that it goes straight to the trash and you won’t have to see it.

@Dan: Expiring in a few months. I have random miles with a few airlines and always wanted to consolidate them to one place so that I can work on earning more miles and then actually use them.

i signed on and it said i received the 3000k points but when i logged into aa my acct didnt reflect the 3000k points. will it only post after 6 weeks?

before subscribing for wife make sure her settings aren’t set that the emails should come to you. Since I do all the purchasing of tickets, I had the settings for her and my kids come to my email address. Make sure they are set to a different email address.

I only got 1,000 miles, as I was apparently already subscribed to too many of their emails.

Note to self: Unsubscribe from their emails after required period, so that I can get bonus the next time this comes around.

I opened a new account without getting any emails and was still denied any points.I wonder why that would be. I did have a different account in my name which also did not work, but the only match was in the name.
