Samsung pay won’t work probably
Samsung pay does work.
– no Samsung warranty, but seller promise to take care of you in case phone malfunctions.
– no extended warranty from your credit card
– no US version of Samsung Pay and it’s deals
– no Wi-Fi calling
– no Verizon/ Sprint
– no T-Mobile’s New 600MHz Band 71
– more money that unlocked US version from Verizon that actually works world wide with any carrier
– no carrier security updates
– Although B&H does not charge you tax, they keep records of their sales and State might obtain it and ask for the sales tax.
-It has a B&H warranty as the post says.
-It does have Samsung Pay, though might not have every deal.
-Every phone has WiFi calling via Google Voice or Hangouts.
-Verizon S9 is locked until activated on Verizon. And where can you pay for it up front and get it for less?
-Never heard of a state going after a consumer for sales tax in my life.
Half of the reason Samsung Pay is cool is the giftcard deals. You still won’t get native carrier Wi-Fi calling. Not everyone uses GV or Hangouts
So you should pay more for a phone because of a potential gift card deal? Just use an Ink Cash card and make your own gift card deals…
So use GV instead for WiFi calling worldwide. Why is that worth paying more for??
First off, these giftcard deals have more than paid for my device. Ink Cash doesn’t help you when you to get ebay, overstock, hotels.com, JCP, Lowes, ect at up to 20% discount like you can on SP. 2nd, I’m not saying pay more. I’m just making sure that whoever wants to buy knows that it may not have what they think it may have. I found this out the hard way when I bought the s8 unlocked version and couldn’t make att wifi calls in my office where I have no signal.
Thank you David! Being able to use native T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling is one of the MOST important features I need in a phone, for the same reason as you — bad cell service at work! Do the Samsung phones not have it in general? Or just this phone?

Ordered one. Thanks for posting this great deal. Some members on XDA-Developers.com have reported that T-Mobile wifi calling indeed works on this phone. I’ll find out myself next week. The only negative I see with this phone is the lack of T-Mobile LTE band 71 as David has noted, but T-Mobile has other frequencies as well. I also bought 2-year squaretrade warranty with a $75 deductible for $99, which covers drops and spills also. They have come through for me in the past and their warranty was easier to deal with than the manufacturer and cellphone carrier warranty for another phone in the past. So, I don’t see the warranty as an issue. If you want a dual sim phone for travel, the pros far outweigh this con.
