I have a number of different smart plugs around the house and there is one particular feature on these that some of you might be interested in when choosing which smart plug to get. Unless I’m completely mistaken, I have not found this on the Wemo app. The TP-Link app, in addition to allowing for multiple schedules, also allows you to put the plug on a timer “on-the-fly.” This has proven to be very effective for bedtime. We tell the kids “you can read in bed but the lights will turn off in x minutes.” (Our lights happen to be plugged in to outlets.) Again, I have Wemo devices as well and I couldn’t find this feature on the app.
I highly recommend these TP-Link devices. $15 each is a great price for these. I think I paid $20 on Prime Day.
