I’ve been saved several times by CyberPower UPS. Any time the power goes out, even for just a moment, it kicks in so that I don’t lose anything I’m in the middle of. The computer and Wi-Fi stay running without interruption so that I can finish what I’m working on and shut down properly. On DDF I even nominated it for one of the greatest things since sliced bread.

How often does the power go out by you?
I’ve been blogging for 14 years.
Has the power not gone out several times for you for at least a couple seconds in the past 14 years?
Thanks Dan,
My wife does transcription from home as well as several other businesses. This is a great purchase for her.
@ Jake, I’ve been in this apartment for 7 years and the power has gone out maybe 3 times. Usually only for a few seconds but it was enough for her to lose her work. So worth it IMO.
Not once.
Last time was the blackout in 2003. That would be almost 15 years now!
Doesn’t just mean a blackout. during the hot summer days the power can go on and off for a few seconds and that is long enough to loose everything.
Yes. I know. That has never happened here.
If you’re working on a laptop, would the power outage affect your work?
It could if there’s a surge.
i live in a house in california, and the power goes out at least once every couple months for a minute or so, and every few years for a day or two. I have multiple UPS’s scattered around the house so the electronics dont have to spend time rebooting; cable modem, tv, etc. because each takes about 5 minutes for even a 1 second power blip.
Where is the coupon? It is now $149 again
