Update: The OU-parve kosher symbol has been mistakenly left off of the packaging. The OU has confirmed to me that these are kosher, even if there is no symbol on the packaging.

Does this need to be pas yisroel
I Would imagine so since they have oats and they appear to be baked.
Why would it be different that other granola bars that are baked but don’t need to be P”Y?
http://www.ok.org/article/consumer-questions-9/
I recently purchased these amd someone mentioned about pas yisroel. I called the OU and they said that they are baked and are not pas yisroel
Did you read the link above?
Granola bars don’t need to be PY.
In for 1. Thanks JJ!
received mine today the banana one does not have an ou on it only the cranberry
Try calling the OU, it’s listed on their site.
TREIF ALERT for Dan’s Deals followers who bought this variety pack:
While the Cranberry Almond is kosher the Banana Honey Nut is TREIF.
It is important to make this news prominent so anyone who bought it doesn’t eat treif.

Did you ask the OU about it?
It says symbol required on the OU site
BEWARE: Please post this message;
i ordered the variety pack and the banana flavor is not kosher!!!!! No OU
I reached out to the OU for comment on why it says that it’s under hashgacha on their website.
Hopefully will hear back from them soon.
Did you hear back from them Dan?
As of yesterday they were still investigating.
Thanks Dan. Please let us know when you get an answer from them.
Ouch. Just realized no OU on the Banana Honey Nut bar. Quite disconcerting. Please advise when you get info.
I called the ou and they said it needs an ou on the package.
I received mine this morning unfortunately I will need to return 2 boxes out of 4 as they dont have a hechsher…
I know its not your obligation dan, but if all 4 dont have a hechsher, please dont post that they do…
I really dont need my sons asking me why I ordered something without a hechsher.
They’re on the OU site as kosher. The OU is currently investigating to figure out what’s the story with these.
so you actually went to the OU website before posting this deal?
wow! kol hakoved to you and sorry for jumping to conclusions.
Of course.
Click on the OU-parve link in the post.
OU Replied to me “Must have a OU” I hope Dan can get me a waiver
I’ve reached out to the higher-ups at OU and will get the full scoop.
Don’t throw them away or try to return them yet, should get to the bottom of this soon.
Good news guys, the OU has confirmed to me in writing that these are OU-parve even without a symbol on the package!
It will be corrected in the future.
@Dan Thanks for checking it out for us!
Heh, I ordered them too 🙂
And I think both flavors are delicious.
But, my pleasure.
Thanks! Screenshot?:)
Don’t think they want their email addresses made public.
You can try reaching out to the OU, though I’m not sure if their frontline agents have the new info yet.
It’s interesting that the company would leave it out considering it’s good for business to have it there… it makes you curious why they would leave it out in the first place…. there’s no incentive to leave it out…
New employee at Quaker made a mistake apparently.
I got this from the OU Webbe Rebbe

Thank you for contacting the OU.
The Quaker Breakfast Flats Banana Honey Nut is fine without the OU symbol on it.
Please do not hesitate to contact us again should you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
The Web(be) Rebbe

Gosh! Even the OU has a Rebbe these days….
That is correct.
According to the OU, they are Mezonos.
Just got email from OU: The Quaker Breakfast Flats Banana Honey Nut is fine without the OU symbol on it.
Thank you Dan!
Thank you Dan for investing the time and effort on this!
