Nu, so how do we get from these Scandinavian countries to Israel.
Norwegian flies nonstop from CPH and STO to TLV and Finnair flies nonstop from HEL to TLV.
If I’m not mistaken HEL-TLV flights are only in the warmer months.
You are mistaken.
Thanks for the update. Winter flights must be a new development. This summer they had 3 weekly flights. In the coming winter they’re showing 2. Next summer 5 weekly.
Thanks Dan, AsherO! So a couple with 7 kids under 12 can come to TLV for Chanukah for 1846 + 1636 = 3482, #awesome!
I know where my chasidish friends are going with their families this winter break…
does it make sense to take this deal and fly to israel or its soo out of the way?
Norwegian flies nonstop from CPH and STO to TLV and Finnair flies nonstop from HEL to TLV.
Why STO? Why not call it ARN?
STO = all Stockholm airports…
What is a child?
Read the post.
Do I need to book directly from sas site?
Oy. If only we had 16 kids under 12

A question I always wanted to ask. Can I buy 2 seats for one person and get an open seat next to me? If yes, will both the tickets earn miles don’t know if these fares receive miles but I wanted to know whenever there are ‘mileage run fares’ like $20 ewr-bos. Can I buy my self 5 tickets in my name and check in all 5 tickets and have them all credited to my mileage.
Generally one person can only have one ticket, though large passengers can purchase a second seat if they need it. I don’t think you’ll earn miles for more than one seat though.
If you have unused tickets the airline may seat someone else there, though it may wind up staying empty.
If I fly and buy 5 tickets for my children with their names on it and crediting their mileage accounts, but they do not actually fly with me, can I have the gate agent scan their ticket as if they boarded and for mileage purposes it will be considered that they flew? I don’t care if the airline lets another person sit in those seats as long as I am credited the mileage.
Basically, I’m looking to get Elite level with Star Alliance. I fly United very often, but always using mileage tickets so I can’t get Elite status. EgyptAir will allow me to merge all my children’s mileage accounts into mine and count them as miles flown towards my Elite status. If I am flying myself, I might as well pay an extra $50 for 5 tickets which will get me pretty close to Elite status
They’re not going to scan BPs for people who aren’t there.
Do infants get a seat?
Just book them as a 2 year old.
This deals only seems to be from EWR. All other airports I have checked have the child ticket almost as high as the adult ticket. Any reason why that would be?
Just tried LAX-STO, works fine.
What route are you trying?
LIT-STO for December 2017. It has the international surcharge alone at $1,250. Can I assume that is the difference.
From Detroit it’s full price
SAS doesn’t serve LIT or DTW.
Needs to be SAS flights only. From the US that’s BOS, EWR, IAD, LAX, MIA, ORD, SEA, and SFO.
On a Dec 21, 2017 flight from EWR to STO, Adult fair is $446 and the child fair is $372. How can I find a flight in DEC with the child fair in the $10-$50 like you have in the examples. Thanks?
Needs to be round-trip probably.
See my DDF post, “*This offer is not valid for travel between December 20, 2017 and January 7, 2018.”
Can I book it in the reverse direction as well starting in cph ?
No.
Can not find anything leaving SEA, even though it seems like SEA is a SAS destination? Have you seen anything?
Trying to find non-stop to CHP or STO and it only brings up flights with a stop.
