Here’s How To View Credit Card Offers On This Site.
For a limited time, Chase is offering 100,000 bonus rewards points for signing up for a Chase Marriott card and spending $5,000 within 3 months. Plus you’ll get 7,500 bonus rewards points for adding a free additional user card, making for a 107,500 point signup bonus.
You’ll also get a free Marriott category 1-5 every year upon your account anniversary.
There is an $85 annual fee.
Chase’s 5/24 guidelines apply to this card. You can get this bonus if you haven’t received a bonus on this card in the past 24 months.
3 Marriott points transfer into 1 Starpoint, so if you want you can convert the 112,500 points you’ll have for signing up for the card and spending $5,000 into 37,500 Starwood Starpoints.
This card offers 5 points per dollar at Marriott and SPG hotels, 2 points per dollar on airfare, car rentals, and restaurant, and 1 point per dollar elsewhere.
Note that aside from the signup bonus, you’ll be better off spending on the Starwood AMEX card as 1 Starpoint can be converted into 3 Marriott points. The Starwood AMEX offers 2 Starpoints per dollar at Marriott and SPG hotels, which can be converted into 6 Marriott points. Other purchases can be converted into 3 Marriott points per dollar.

Any guesses when this will end?
Can I convert these points into regular Chase points?
I just referred two people to open this card when the reward was 80,000 points, roughly 1 month ago. Any chance that they will match this promotion?
Just approved 2 months ago for 70k offer. Can it be matched?
@Mike B:
Nope.
@David:
Nope.
@Agoldsc1:
@Stephen:
Send a secure message to Chase and ask.
Any recommendations how to get this if I’m over and beyond 5/24 but I want to take advantage of this amazing offer? Would going into a branch and asking for them to check if I’m pre-approved work?
@Mushky:
How far over are you? Are you counting any AUs/store cards/business cards?
You can try checking in branch. Be sure to ask for the exact APR on the card to make sure it’s a real pre-approval.
Secure message how? On their website? Would a DM on twitter work also?
@Agoldsc1:
When logged in on their site.
No.
is this offer for biz card also?
Can these Marriott points be transferred to southwest for a companion pass?
Which am I better off opening, this card or the spg Amex offer?
I read online the following: “Starting February 1, 2016, accumulated points will be removed from your account if you do not have a qualifying activity in the prior 2 years”.
So the points expire after 2 years if I don’t do any activity. Is this correct?
What are the success rates with getting the annual fee waived for the first year?
how long do i have to wait after having closed a Chase Marriott card before signing up and getting the bonus again?
@biz:
No.
@Deb:
Only until Friday.
@miriam:
Both.
@Danny:
You can transfer them to Starpoints to extend their life.
@Jay:
49.58%
@Eitan:
Nothing to do with closure date, just 24 months from when you last got the bonus.
@Dan: LOl Dan, is it a HUCA?or no chance?
Can there be transferred to United?
These are transferable to United—-correct?
sorry for reposting the question…did not realize there would be a delay….my bad
Which is a better bonus/card for my wife to get? This or Starwood? I already have Starwood card, and neither of us have Marriot.
@Dan What is the cash value of these points?
@Deb: You need 270k marriot points/90k spg points for WN companion pass. The last day to do it though is on Friday.
@Dan: You told miriam (@miriam: Both.) to open both cards but some of us don’t have the luxury of paying 2 yearly fees so if it comes down to it, which one is better? The marriot comes with a free night automatically after the first year..
@Jay:
Anything is possible.
@Mo:
Yes, read the related post links.
@Shaul:
They’re both great offers, why not get both?
@Curious:
Depends on how they’re used.
@Nice:
The signup bonus is worth way more than the annual fee.
You can decide which to keep next year when the fee comes up.
So are these Marriott points or Chase points? And can these be x-ferred to JetBlue?
Can you downgrade the card after a year?
Any other increased sign up offers to add for a 2/3bm?
How many points are needed for one night?
You write that this card is subject to 5/24. Does it also count against 5/24 for chase?
@Jimbo:
Marriott
No
@Isaac:
You can cancel it.
@Reuvenhunt:
United, Ink.
@David:
Read the related post links.
@Danfan:
Yes.
New to Starwood. What are that many Starwood points worth? Are they for hotel nights or other airline transferable?
Thanks!
@David:
Click on the links at the end of this post and start reading 🙂
@Dan: @Dan:
Thanks!
if i am at 5/24, would i be able to open both the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit and Business Cards from American Express simultaneously???
@nirc:
AMEX doesn’t have a 5/24 guideline.
suggestions for doing a 3BM with the AMEX Starwood Preferred Guest Credit + Business Cards?
@Dan: So is the idea to open the card, get the bonus and close it by the end of the year?
@dan isn’t there a limit how many cc you can open in a certain amount of time?
Can this card be open for my organization or only for individuals?
Is the $85 annual fee waived the first year?
I signed up for the card about two months ago when it had the 80k bonus in order to get the Southwest companion pass. Now that they have the 100k offer, I sent them a secure message from the website asking if they would match the offer.
I got an email back informing me that they would grant me the additional 20k points.
In case this pertains to any of you out there – go for it!!!
any sample deals for these points? (i.e. anything like IHG pointsbreak?)
Any idea when this offer will expire?
