Are u able to cancel when using points? Can I buy insurance when using points?
You mention that you don’t need to use the Delta Skylmiles Amex card to purchase the flights in order to get the free baggage. How do we take advantage of that? We just show the card at the airport?
So, I can purchase the tickets with my chase points and sign up for the Delta Skymiles Amex card (since I don’t currently have it) to get the free baggage too?
Thank you!!
@Moishy:
You can cancel within 24 hours.
You can always buy travel insurance.
@Jason:
It’s linked to your Delta Skymiles account. As long as you have the credit card and have your Skymiles number on the flight then you’ll get the benefits.
And yes, you can purchase with AMEX/Chase points and then signup for the Delta card for the baggage and other flight benefits.
@Dan: The Delta card will get me 1 free checked bag per ticket? So if I purchase 4 one way tickets I can get 4 checked bags free?
What crossover benefits are svsilable on delta for spg platinum? Do I get a free bag?
@Anonymous:
You’ll get a free checked bag for each person on each reservation.
@Spgplat:
Yes.

Hi Dan,
If I buy the ticket directly from Delta, how long do I have to cancel the ticker?
I’m Delta Platinum, how many bags can I take on a Basic Economy ticket? if I booked for 3 passengers on the same reservation?
“You will however be able to check bags, bring on carry-ons, and earn miles.”
Are you saying with Basic fare you can still bring carry-ons for free?
What’s the best place to credit your miles when flying Delta/ Virgin America?
Thanks
Dan, can u include TYP in the hybird points section if possible. this way we can compare all three most used pt system.with prestige or premier.
