Business class fare are not ~1200$, at least not for MIA.
it’s ~1900$… there is a bug in their website that changes your selection to one way economy once you choose business class both ways…….

I’m having some issues finding flights xmas time for this price … they come out to around $830 …. Any suggestions?

For someone in in N.Y., can you buy two sets of tickets TLV-JFK , and use only one leg of each set to go from JFK to TLV and back, or do you actually need to fly using both legs of each ticket?

@AM: If you miss the TLV-JFK ti key on your out of JFK flight, they’ll cancel the other direction. If you could find a cheap one way to TLV, you could use this RT as your return ticket, but that’s probation a great value anyway.

@Anonymous: The “free cancellation option” is a requirement of the US Department of Transportation, therefor it doesn’t apply to tickets bought elsewhere.

Dan, it seems that the businness option is a glitch in the Alitalia website. After booking the outbound and inbound flights, both as business, the site incorrectly adds together the fare of an economony ticket outbound with a business fare for the inbound. Then after the Dicount Coupon is applied, voila, you get an erroneous $1121 total.
When trying to choose seats, you discover that only economy seats are available for the outbound flight.
It does seen to work for economy on both legs, though.

the israeli goverment passed a law of cancellation 14 days for a fee of 100 shekels it should be on this as well ????????????/

However in the next step it says 1 bag allowed. I asked Alitalia and they said that it’s a mistake on the website and in fact only 1 bag will be allowed. BE AWARE!

for anybody who bought tickets planning to bring 2 bags of 23 kilos each. i just spoke with an alitalia customer service representative who told me it’s a mistake on their web site and NOT possible to bring 2 bags unless you pay for the second one. it’s 100 euros to bring that second bag.

i pointed out that the promo price shows clearly 2 bags and have my screen shot, but she apologized again and said it’s a mistake and only ONE bag is permitted. i don’t want to arrive at the airport and pay and extra $106 dollars.

any suggestions?

Not valid for business class. Not for the prices mentioned in the post that is. Apparently those prices are a glitch on their site, and you end up in economy on the longer leg of the trip

Still a good deal.

TLV-MIA/JFK will NOT be in Business….the $1121 price is Coach (TLV-USA) and Business (USA-TLV).

AZ refuses to honor what their website shows and is refusing to refund the ticket

i think we should take alitalia to small claims court for not honoring 2nd suitcase as it says clearly on the booking page

i waited on the phone for making the booking over the phone , i was on the phone for nearly 40 min
when they picked up a few min before 12 they said sorry mam promotion is over and said they cant help me with the promotion anymore

I just tried at 12:12 am Israeli time and it was still working.

I Got 3 flights with this code

1. $440 economy
2. $613 outbound in bussines/premium (using as one way out of israel)
3. $448 economy.

The only trouble is that they are not honoring the 2 bags.

So after 2 days of supervisors investigating the ticket, the refuse to honor the business class inventory both ways. While the email shows economy on the outbound, the RECEIPT section of the email shows business both ways. Didn’t matter.

Suggest that everyone who booked business class tickets for ~$1100 look at their tickets — likely they have the same problem.

Fortunately if you purchased via the Israeli site, you are entitled to a refund for 14 for a fee of 100 NIS (~$25).
