Got A Robocall For A Free Cruise? Get Up To $900 Back!
Thanks to a class action settlement, if you received robocalls for a free cruise between July 2009-March 2014, you are eligible for $300 per phone phone call, up to $900 for 3 calls. Note that if claims exceed $12.5MM after fees that payout rates will be proportionately reduced so that everyone receives an equal payout per phone call for up to 3 calls.
You can click the link above and choose the 3rd option to check if your phone number is part of the settlement. While I’ve gotten some robocalls on my cell phone, I didn’t see my number listed. However I checked my parents and grandparents numbers and they were listed as eligible!
You must file a claim by 11/3/17. A final approval hearing will be held on 4/4/18.
Is your number eligible for a payout?

Yes! I did it last night, three of my numbers came up as eligible!
My number is eligible but I doubt they will pay out more than $50 after all is said and done.
Oy
I think $50 is pretty optimistic. All the class actions I’ve done are $10 or less. I had a number that is eligible so I’ll see when it’s over.
My google voice number came up. Thanks, Dan!
My wifes number is eligible what do i have to do?
how do I know this is legit?
I am sure that Dan does his homework before posting anything. Don’t worry.
Joel – you can read through the docs and all – but at the end of the day they are not asking for anything other than the number, your address and a contact number and email address. You don’t have to pay anything or provide any sensitive info.
Are you sure this isn’t a scam?
You can check the case number
Pretty sure you crashed the site!!!
Also, there will be millions of requests and we’ll each get a $5 prepaid visa when this is all over… but that’s just my pessimistic streak showing. Thanks as always Dan!!!
There is a limit of how many claims can be, as clearly stated “…you will be compensated, based on Resort Marketing Group, Inc’s Call Records”
Thanks Dan! I’m part of the settlement!
Can i sign up as the claimant for multiple numbers (ie. for friends and family)?
Must you check both boxes at the submit screen?
You must affirm that you actually received the phone calls. This to me implies that you must remember getting them.
u do have a point
I do rember getting them. A few times
I’m sure I got that call at least twice, but my number isn’t included in the settlement!
Will I now get even more calls after submitting my phone number on this form??
Two of my numbers in the settlement, thank you!
@Dan my number is eligible do I have to submit the form 3x?
Thanks for publicizing this! 2 of my several numbers were present… and I do get endless calls even being on the DNC list, so thanks! It is usually spoofed numbers and they operate out of foreign countries… so it will be refreshing to finally get some comp on this. It’ll probably end up being like $1 a call and just the lawyers make all the money… but at least it is something and also teaches them to be careful who them work with!
This is ridiculous, I don’t think any number is not Included
Neither of my numbers were included. Only 3 out of around 50 I typed in from my contacts list were included.
Though my number doesn’t appear on this one, I got in on this other one that was $500 per call. http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=68305.0
Still waiting for my money, though.
Comes up by me incorrect input
“The number you provided is included in this settlement. You may continue with the online claim filing process.”
Thanks
Do you have to file 3 times for the $900?
From what I see in the settlement agreement end of section 2.3 the ‘possibility’ of 900 is only if you got calls to three different numbers: “There can only be one Approved Claim per telephone number regardless of the Persons using the same telephone number and regardless of the number of telephone calls made to the same telephone number.”
my number was part of the claim , i filed a claim , how will i get the money?
thank you dan
Great way for them to collect everyone’s numbers.
Lol! Just today I got a robocall about a cruise to the Bahamas. I guess I need to wait a few years to get some money.
& BTW in a serious tone we should do the same to all the calls we get every night from every org.
How do you guys get the numbers that called you 5 years ago!? I don’t my t-mobile call log available online goes back that far.
A couple of times a year, I log in to the phone company’s website and download the call log. What number should I be looking for?
Whatever they hand out, the lawyers get more. Remember Red Bull $10. The layers prob retired after that.
Of course — only real winners in class action lawsuits are lawyers. They are designed for lawyers. Still $10 for me is better than $0 for me….I’m not going to fix the world, might as well get paid 🙂
Plus the other upside is that the company making the calls is out money — which is a win. DNC list is the biggest scam in American
Wow my number came up thank you for the info
I see they added a captcha. Smart, but not perfect.
My home phone is eligible, printed out a claim form, but don’t see an entry for asking how many times I was called
You don’t enter that information — they have that on the records
i have (so far) 2 numbers that are eligible. where do i enter that i got 3 calls? will they assume i got 1 or 3 calls? do i have to fill my numbers out 3 times each?
@dan, I got no confirmation email after felling out the form (I had 2 eligible numbers).
So what’s the next step?
Anyone know whatever happened with this?
I just received an email that due to the volume of claims they beleive many are fraud and are now requiring that you submit proof showing the phone numbers called are yours…
Can you please post a copy of that email here?
A federal court authorized this supplemental Notice.
It is not a solicitation from a lawyer.
You are receiving this email because the Settlement Administrator in the class action captioned Charvat v. Resort Marketing Group, Inc. et al., 1:12cv5746 United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, received a claim or claims from you that included this e-mail address as a means of contact.
The Settlement Administrator recently informed the Court that over two million claims were filed in this action by consumers who received publication notice of the settlement and submitted a claim on line via the portal provided at http://www.RMGTCPASettlement.com. The Settlement Administrator has also informed the Court that an unknown but substantial number of claims filed in this manner may be fraudulent.
To ensure that only valid claims are recognized, the Court has ordered that all recipients of this email must submit proof of their connection to the phone numbers at issue before their claims can be deemed valid. See Court Order Dated March 5, 2018, DE # 619.
Claimants are hereby advised to forward documents sufficient to confirm their connection, (be it by ownership, use or subscription), to each phone number upon which they contend to have received telemarketing calls relating to this litigation.
Such documents could include, but need not be limited to, a phone bill or a reference to a phone directory confirming the connection between the phone number and the claimant.
Any documentation that will allow the Parties or the Settlement Administrator to independently verify the claimant’s ownership, use or subscription to the phone number at issue will be sufficient.
We request that you please limit your submission to a single page, if possible.
Claimants may submit supportive documents via the web-portal at http://www.RMGTCPASettlement.com. Claimants may also respond via e-mail at administrator@rmgtcpasettlement.com, and claimants may send supportive documents by U.S. Mail to:
Foreman Friedman PA
Attn: Class Action Supplemental Notice Claims
2 South Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 2300
Miami, Florida 33131
Please send documentation in only one of these ways to these addresses, which have been specially prepared to accept documentation from a large number of claimants.
Submissions must include the Claim ID number originally provided to the claimant when they filed their original claim, along with their name, address, phone number and email address. Any supplementation must also be labelled with the name of this case CHARVAT V. RESORT MARKETING GROUP.
Claimants shall have until May 1, 2018 to submit the above-requested additional documentation to support their claim. If they fail to do so, such claims will be deemed invalid.
Claimants may redact (e.g. black out with a magic marker) any portions of documentation that are not relevant to the claimant’s use, subscription to or ownership of the phone number at issue. By order of the Court, any information submitted by you will only be used to verify your claim and not for any other purpose.
The parties have also agreed to honor any Claimants’ requests to exclude themselves from this settlement and preserve their option to litigate their own claims. Any Claimants who would like to exclude themselves from this settlement altogether, or “opt out” of the settlement, may do so by May 1, 2018, by mailing your request to:
Foreman Friedman PA
Attn: Class Action Supplemental Notice Claims
2 South Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 2300
Miami, Florida 33131
You must include your claim ID, name, address, phone number and email and a statement that you wish to be excluded from the settlement.
Any information submitted will be deemed confidential and only will be used to confirm the connection between the claimant and the Claimant’s phone number.
Any Claimant who wishes to object to this supplemental process of proof required of their connection to the phone numbers at issue before their claims can be deemed valid may submit objections to the Court until May 1, 2018.
Due to the need for the supplemental claims verification process as described above, the Final Approval Hearing has been reset for Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. (CST).
Now you have to send records of the calls and submit by May 1 2018. From 2009 to 2014 what numbers called? All I know I was called.
