Each area of the tour helps visitors understand the emotional significance of Michael Arad’s memorial pools “Reflecting Absence,” the “Survivor Tree,” and One World Trade Center, among other locations.

About 9/11 Tribute Museum

The 9/11 Tribute Museum, founded by the nonprofit September 11th Families' Association, blends the informative and the emotionally honest in conveying the events and timeline of September 11, 2001, from the perspective of those who were there – family members who lost loved ones, survivors, first responders, recovery workers and lower Manhattan residents. The Tribute Museum galleries contain videos, artifacts, pictures and interviews to create a moving portrait of the attack on September 11, 2001. Before looking ahead to lower Manhattan's plans for the future, the 9/11 Tribute Museum shares a personal remembrance of the victims, the unprecedented rescue-and-recovery operations, and the tremendous spirit of generosity and support that arose after the attack.
