I was able to get it by copying and pasting the url in safari

I couldn’t access the sign in on the bottom of the page when I tried to do it directly from my browser. I copied and pasted the link into safari and it worked.

To all those having issues, please follow Dan’s instructions. I needed to copy and paste the link into an incognito browser and it automatically selected a mastercard in my account. Got the Thank you message that the promotion was applied. You just need to use that card for your purchase.

On an iPhone, I had to hold down the link as if waiting to copy and the correct page suddenly popped up (the first time I did it just by tapping the link, I got the dog page – NG).
At the end, I couldn’t find the option to select a master card that I already have on file, so I just entered a new one.

Just used an iPhone safari. This is how it worked for me.
Go to regular Amazon.com select your account and change your one-click settings to a MasterCard and then sign out of your account.
Hold down the link until you see the option “open in new tab”.
It will open an Amazon page that shows a button “change one click settings” in desktop mode. (That was automatic I didn’t have to request desktop page)
Scroll all the way down until where it says “not —, sign out”
It will then take you to the desktop Amazon sign in after you sign in it should show the message thanks.

I changed my 1 click settings.
Then I copied the link into my chrome browser.
Then clicked the “not _ sign out” button on the bottom of the mobile page
It took me to a desktop looking page where I signed in

It then took me back to the $10 credit page, which this tone slowed up properly

It’s not working for me. On an android phone. When I click the link it takes me to sorry page with dogs. I clicked open in browser and copied that link into another window, into incognito and it just takes me to what looks like a bottom of a page. I clicked on 1 click setting to change, nothing doing.

Maybe the issue is there is something extra being added when copying the link. Can someone post the link.

I clicked the link on my Iphone and tried both a regular Safari page and a private Safari page but do not see anything to scroll down on the “We’re sorry” page. I clicked on a linkable place on that page and then got to am Amazon log in page, logged in, went to 1-click, added a Mastercard and got no thank you message. I tried to order something and see if it had worked but no $10 there either

Heads Up: the next time a promo like this appears, I highly suggest you use the credit right away.

I called and got $10 off. But I am not !00% “thrilled”. Here’s why:
After a few attempts at it, I got my $10 credit in my account at 9:15 this morning. (Yippee!)
I immediately set out to use that credit, so I put an item I was thinking of buying in my cart. I checked & I saw the $10 applied in checkout. (Great!)
But then I saw that Amazon actually reduced the price of the item by $10, which is great for sales tax purposes. However, I was concerned that I may end up returning the item and I wanted to find out if I would get back the $10 promo credit back in my account. That seemed unlikely if the price of the item was reduced by the $10.
I was about to post that question here, when I saw the comments about the $10 credit being removed.
I figured that the best way to complain is to actually have an existing order. So I placed my order and then immediately called Amazon. The rep had a hard time finding any info about this promo and ended up just taking $10 off the price of my ordered item.
So I am happy for the free $10.89 (including the sales tax benefit), but I am not thrilled for the 14 minute phone call and that the credit is limited to the actual item purchased.

QUESTION: in general, what happens to applied credits if the item ordered is returned?

After speaking to an agent I was told: “the offer expired at 11.59 am pst”

After asking for the credit they told me “I will transfer your order details to the marketing and promotional team so that they will apply the credit.”

Haven’t got the credit yet but they seem to be honoring it still

Hilarious, as I got this email and a $10 credit beforehand when I went on chat asking why the promotion didn’t work.
