Not targeted 🙁
Targeted for both!
Nope, not me. Said it’s only for targeted customers, and the only target I’d like to be is not this 🙁
In case anyone is in the same situation — I was targeted earlier in the summer with a deadline to meet the $5K spend by 10/15/2016. I met requirements by late summer and received the bonus Starpoints. This looks to be the second “round” and I tried enrolling and it wouldn’t let me. So I’m guessing those who already got targeted for this offer earlier this summer, we’re out of luck at attempting to getting it a second time. If anyone’s experience is different, please comment!
If I’m targeted would I earn for the secondary cards?
So upsetting, we spend so much on the starwood, why wouldn’t we be targeted?
On one of my cards it says you have to be invited on my order card it says I signed up for this promotion I don’t remember signing up does this mean I was targeted anyway because
I was targeted on my AMEX Business Platinum card to spend $5,000 before 12/31/2016 and receive 40,000 MRP
Thanks Dan. I got it on the SPG Business card.
Thanks!
Thanks! Was targeted. Same question as @Yoss, though.
I was targeted to my personal card for 5k (nothing about the second 5k after the spending of 10k) I called AMEX if they can apply it to my business account tank the did. (I took her name & employee # in case)
Rep told me they are targeting older accounts, wasn’t eligible being that my account is newish 🙁
@My08701: The “extra” 5k is the actual $5k you spent, totaling 10k.
Is this the same promo as the one over the summer?

Neither me nor my wife got the offer. Thanks anyway for trying.
@YoLaViajera: After this summer’s Plat MR clawbacks, I’m wondering if you did this all with organic spend or otherwise? Would it make a difference for Starpoints?
I didn’t note which card I enrolled. Is there a way to tell which of my SPG cards is the enrolled one? Thanks
nada
@Euphor: Is it possible that they only target those that don’t spend that much on the card, to encourage spending?
@DC: Excellent question! I MS’d most of it. So far, no clawbacks. I met the spend over two months ago, so the bonus posted back in August. The Starpoints go directly into your Starwood account, so I would be surprised if Amex clawed those back. I don’t even know if they can, since it’s managed by Starwood. I think the clawbacks are related only to that specific Platinum offer that was leaked online in May. Having said that, I would proceed very carefully with new Amex- branded products. But since SPG is a co-branded product, I’m not so sure they can even do clawbacks. If you got the offer on your card, you may want to put some organic spend and mix it up with MS. Like I mentioned, I did mostly MS, but it’s YMMV as usual.
