Which airline out of the 4 have the best business class product and kosher meal
I am currently booked on Turkish with a 3 hour stop in Istanbul, anything to be worried about? And which lounge shouldni use ?
Flew Turkish to TLV for Pesach… highly, highly recommend it. Business class was excellent, and coach (for the kids) was great too. Kosher food was good, service was excellent, they gave amenity kits in coach (as well as little backpacks full of stuff for the kids to play with). Not only was I perfectly comfortable as an outwardly-observant Jew, the flight attendant came over and told me how happy they were that they fly to TLV so much. Will be flying them again for Sukkot. They recently had 2k fares from JFK… not sure if that’s still available.
Also, if you are elite tier in their FF program (which you get after 25k miles – 2 r/t business class tickets to Europe or TLV) you can pool your family’s miles to get award tickets.
@yanky:
I felt totally safe walking around in the airport with my kippah. Leaving airport is a different issue, but you aren’t doing that on 3 hr layover. Use the Turkish Airlines CIP lounge (if you have access). It’s probably one of the best lounges in the world.
Worth noting that there are business class flights on Turkish from Toronto-IST-TLV for $2400 CDN ($1800 USD) leaving motzei Yom Kippur and returning the Wednesday after succos.
How about to other destinations or terminating in IST? Any deals there?
@DT
You leave your kids in coach while you’re in business? Tzu Tzu Tzu
Painful to see the flight $1000 less from BOS vs. the same exact flight from NYC.
Might be worth travelling to Boston one way to save $1000
What am I missing. I checked Delta for business 7/3-13 and got $3,539.39 as the round trip price. Am I doing something wrong?
I tried United 7/3-14. Got 2007 rt with taxes and fees
Does this work with originating in TLV?
@Mutty: you have to have the inventory available. On those days, Z inventory isn’t available
use google.com/flights to see when the cheaper seats are open. For example, 7/5-7/13 prices at $2006 on DL
