Can this make a full 8-12 ounce cup, or only espresso shot? is there any difference between the two, other then the look?
This is the 4th time I’ve gotten this deal! I keep buying with the intent to put the machine on Ebay, but wind up giving the machine with a couple of cases of coffee away to someone I owe a really nice present.
I may wind up replacing my current Y1 with this X9, though. The footprint looks much smaller (no overhead projector on my counter anymore) and it has a place to put the cups – a useful touch.
Plus the Y1 is inconsistent in output, I replaced it once because the first one was wildly inconsistent in water output. Sometimes 1/2 of what it should, and sometimes double. The replacement sometimes doesn’t dispense any water the first push (seems the trend carries from can to can of coffee. An entire can will dispense too little, then an entire can will dispense too much).
Anyway, this has replaced french press as my primary home coffee method. So much more convenient, and with this deal coming around every 6 months or so I’ve yet to run out of pods.

I’m not sure about all the differences, but I noticed that the water tank of the Y3 has a capacity of 33 Oz. Whereas the X9 has only a 23+ Oz. Capacity.
Also, I understand that the Y3 has a 1 button control, apparently the X9 has more..
