Costco Travel is a good place to search for car rentals in general, especially for one-way rentals. Right now they have some great rates for car rentals in Canada, where rentals are typically quite pricey.
A Costco membership is required, though a member can book the car rental for someone else.
A rental from this Friday to Sunday in Toronto in CAD $6.17 (USD$4.70):
In Vancouver it’s CAD$10 and in Montreal it’s CAD $17.20.
Or for example a 1 week rental from this Sunday through next Sunday is CAD$111 (USD$84) in Vancouver and CAD$119 in Toronto.

This is great deal, the only downside is that it’s for Canada.
No chance they’re honouring this.
Any success in Montreal?
$6.17? I think I’d rather pay $29 for economy or compact. (Some things I will just never understand…)
What would it cost to rent and then extend it a few days? Do they use the base price you paid at time of rental or does it change?
@Aamm:
Yes, found some good weekend rentals from YUL
I called up budget to find out which locations are participating, and they said it was a glitch and didn’t let me book it. Dan, can you take care of the rental for me? I’ll pay you to get me this rate, i really want this. leahgold1982@yahoo.com
@Reb yid: You’re wrong.
@Leah Gold:
Leah, first rule is NEVER CALL!! You have probably killed this deal. Thanks for that
@Leah Gold:
DONT CALL!! Deal killer…
@arghh:
Just a troll comment.
I sure don’t see anything like that around Thanksgiving.
Should I rely on this? I need transportation for 7 this Friday and renting 2 cars with this rate would be by far the cheapest way back and forth from the Airport (+ some minimal local driving.) I booked 2 cars, but I’m concerned.
@Al: What do you can around that? There’s $48 CAD out of yyz, around $36 USD, or $12/day. The shorter rental the cheaper the rate, as you’re getting $15 off for a weekend rental, whether you rent for 2 days or four.
@Flaco: Just make another reservation so you’re covered regardless what happens.
does not work for me. chaim0721@gmail.com
Looking for a one way rental, NY – Canada
Everything is above $250
Budget YYZ honored the reservation without any problem.
(They did ask to see me Costco card, which caught me by surprise. When I retrieved my card and presented it to the agent she didn’t bother even bother taking it.)
Thank you, Dan!
@Flaco:
Awesome!
Dan’s Deals scores again–I was looking for a one-day, one-way rental in the US, to go from EWR to Englewood NJ. $144 on Enterprise’s website. Via Costco travel, $83 using Budget. I think that’s about what a taxi would cost us, and we have the use of the car for a day.
Bless you, Dan!!!
i need a cheap one way from toronto to ewr
