Is it a real promotion or a scam?
It gives me a warning that the website is not secure
I am getting an error when I visit the “Attackers might be trying to steal your information from hertzfallbonus.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID”
Looks like they have an issue with the certificate….
@Alex:
Considering that I had 25 points instantly added to my account, that would be one odd scam.
Worked fine for me in Chrome.
Using chrome as well, still get insecure website message. Doesn’t even let me proceed at own risk.
Thanks Dan!
Can I register I am Hertz Platinum? I just tried and i am getting an error msg:
Sorry, you are not currently eligible for this promotion. This promotion is available to residents of the United States and Canada.
I’m platinum, and getting this message: Sorry, you are not currently eligible for this promotion. This promotion is available to residents of the United States and Canada.
@Dan: Me too, in Chrome. No warning messages, points posted instantly.
according to my experience and Hertz CS, only rental activity can extend the expiration..
@allen:
Their published terms beg to differ:
https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/misc/?targetPage=GPR_FAQs.jsp#Expiring_Points
“Points do not expire as long as you have any Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program activity in the prior 24 months. Activity means a Gold Plus Rewards Point was either earned or redeemed.”
can I transfer hertz points to a spouse’s account?
Got the 25 points instantly.
It changes expiration to 24 months from today. It doesn’t extend it 24 months from the previous expiration date. Which would have been nice in my case!
@EH:
I see her that I can: https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/misc/?targetPage=GPR_FAQs.jsp#Transferring
but I cant figure out how?
anything like this to extend Hyatt?
@Anonymous:
They have this nifty little device called a telephone…
@j:
Transfer in from Chase or make a booking?
Thanks dan, exactly what I needed 2 extend
@Dan: i know. it took me a month to fight with Hertz to get my miles back
@Dan:
use a phone? preposterous
Great find Dan! That took all of 10 seconds. Thank you sir
thanks. this is exactly what i needed now.
@Yehuda: me too. platinum and getting same message. any fix?
Worked for me
Thanks worked for me!
Dan – How do I actually use Hertz points? I have enough points for a free weekday or weekend day rental, but every time I go to use them at various locations/dates I get a message that I don’t have enough points or the location is not accepting points.
Thanks 🙂
Thanks for the 25points Dan!…every little bit helps toward a free rental and I can always use those 🙂
@MilesMath: I was getting the same message, but this is how I eventually was able to book my rental using points. (1) reserved the car as you would normally(2) With your account number and confirmation number ready, call the Rewards Desk (1-888-999-4900) and tell them you would like to apply your points to the rental (taxes portion still due). (3) pick up your rental and pay the taxes when you return the car.
Awesome…this link still works. I registered myself and spouse too. We both got the 25 points. Thanks for the tip.
