Yea a lot of people have reported the same thing. I think requiring the CID every time is a deal breaker for amex express checkout in general. One of the benefits of paypal, etc. is that you can use whatever card you want without having the actual card on you. With this system you can’t do that.

I’m guessing I can take a tax deduction for the $1 donation.

And a new-ish Gold Delta Amex also isn’t showing up as an option. This is a login that has 7 Amex cards in it and only 3 of them are showing up as an option for amex express checkout.

In that login, the amex everyday preferred also isn’t showing up. Though in a different login, I have other amex everyday preferred showing up fine. Weird.

Just placed an order for $1 donation with no problems.

I was getting an error message while using Mozilla Firefox, but it worked fine with Internet Explorer and also Chrome.

Amex express checkout only shows a maximum of three card options at checkout.(at least by me) If you remove the cards (after you have used them) from your online account the next three available cards will be shown on the express checkout page.

Does anybody know why it would be telling me that I can’t add my secondary users to my current login? I was able to add 3 but I’m getting an error when trying to add others and its promoting me to create new logins for them.

Anyone else having issues using AU on newegg?

I was able to use my main accounts no problem at all, however when I use the AU logins I”m able to log in, get to the “I agree” screen, however after logging into newegg to complete the purchase the page is crapping out.

I’ve tried two different AU accounts on different browsers, different computers, and at work/home. Same issues.

Yes, perhaps because they have a different social on file for them than yours? Had that too. So just make life simple, if your regular userid is amex just do amex1 amex 2 amex3 etc. all with the same password email address and security question. (you may need to provide last four of additional social) Good luck!

I’m still confused. You can only add secondary users to your online login who have the same social as yours (meaning secondary cards that are also in your own name and social)? So if you have 10 additional users, who are not yourself, you can’t add them to the same login as yours?

I have tried different browsers, incognto mode and even different computers. Also contacted Amex about it but they dont see anything. I used another card and it worked fine.

Also the order I places yesterday on newegg got cancelled automatically stating my request for cancellation has been approved.

Wow, the 4-digit CID thing is so pathetically stupid on AMEX’s part- the WHOLE POINT of these types of checkouts is that you DON’T NEED TO HAVE THE CARD!! The email/SMS verification is enough to make it secure and far easier. The weird thing is- it randomly decides if it’s email, SMS, or CID- we don’t get to choose. Anyone spot a pattern over which one it assigns?

I opened a chat with Newegg and they said seller cancelled because of the mistake with the free shipping.

my experience with the “canceled” order

I too got many cancellation emails for 13 cents and 18 cents items, and Newegg is offering me a foul $5 as per their email.
They should keep this marketplace seller responsible for this and make him ship it. He probable miscalculated his stock or something. What was he thinking when he was getting thousands of orders, why didn’t he remove his listing for these items??
Shame on you Newegg for not holding your sellers responsible!
