The BA deal from JFK or Newark to Paris died last night, but British Airways is back with very good good business class fares from Newark to Paris/Orly. The British Airways JFK to Paris/Orly fares are significantly higher, though American still has cheap fares from JFK to Paris/CDG.
EWR-ORY in Open Skies business class before discounts:
JFK-ORY in Open Skies business class before discounts:
You can depart on most dates between now through October 24. A Saturday night stay is required.
From Paris you can connect to other cities in Europe on the cheap with Avios/miles or with the numerous low-cost carriers that operate across the pond. You should be able to get cheap tickets or awards to Israel as well.
Here’s how to knock down the price to $1,167 round-trip.
-Use this link to access the BA AARP site.
AARP members get $400 off BA business class tickets. Anyone can join AARP for $16. Just click “Log in to your AARP account here” to join AARP for $16 or to login to your existing AARP account.
Creating an account takes just a minute and as soon as you open an account you can make a login and then unlock the BA offer which can be used an unlimited amount of times.
Only 1 passenger needs to have an AARP account.
Once you are logged in just use the BA AARP link again (you may need to click on “verify membership) and search for a flight from NYC to Paris in business class. British Airways’ Open Skies affiliate airline operates daily service from both JFK and Newark to Paris/Orly. The business class seat converts into a lie-flat bed.
Select the Open Skies options and on the next screen locate the promotion code or eVoucher field and enter the following code good for 10% off with a Chase Visa: CARDOFFERU
You’ll also earn 10,902 Avios for the trip.
Cancellations are permitted within 24 hours for free over the phone (I used this myself yesterday). After 24 hours the fee is a whopping $500 per ticket.
You can also fly from JFK to CDG on American for $1,300 after the AARP discount, though the additional 10% off doesn’t apply to American flights.

as a AA gold should I credit this to BA or AA?
the american flights are cheaper than the open skies. why davka go via open skies? also july return is prohibitively expensive
@av:
If you’re trying to requalify, then definitely AA.
@tay:
The American flights don’t work with the CARDOFFERU offer.
If it works out cheaper than fine. But there are plenty of July return dates to Newark that works on Open Skies.
again, it is ot giving me $400 off. still coming to $2000 a ticket. why?
@tay:
How do you expect help without posting what dates you searched for?
june 23 to july 14
it does not work for leaving may 6 and returning may 11, it gives me more then 7,000 with 10 percent off for voucher. i followed, ewr to orly openskies

@Eli:
Wear a hat?
Or fly somewhere else on the cheap from Paris.
now works and says you need to use ba visa signature card
@tay:
Did you try a Sapphire Preferred card?
Or what card are you using?
visa bank card
@Eli: don’t be stupid!
@tay:
Never heard of that.
Probably need to use a Chase Visa, though all we know that works for now is the BA Visa and Sapphire Preferred Visa as I wrote in the post.
can an aarp member buy for other people who are flying?
Not working for me at all , nothing happenes after I click verify membership
@ Dan, do you need to be over 50 for aarp?
thanks dan, is the american 757 also flatbed?
Any way to use the code and avios?
JFK to Cdg works. 1300$ per adult
@joe!: all TATL AA flights are flat bed now
Just booked this – it worked well. I’m 37 and I bought the AARP membership for $16, then booked from May 1st to May 16th for $1167.51. There was an option to select American Airlines from JFK to CDG, however the 10 percent discount would not work when selecting 1 or both legs on American The AARP discount worked… so to go on AA would be $1300. I went the cheap route. Surprised about the $98 per direction advanced seat assignment charge but flat bed both directions – I’m not going to complain!
@AMC:
That happened to meas well. It took about two hours for the membership to verify for some reason
Just booked with this deal – it’s still working.
May 5 return on may 10 i dont see tgr cheap price please help thanks
May 6 return on may 10 dont see any discounts please help
YOU HAVE TO FLY FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK
Does this deal work from Orly to EWR?
Thanks Dan, I am going to Paris and Italy (Capri, Rome and Florence) in the summer. I had already booked my wife’s and my tickets by transferring Amex points to Air France Flying Blue (250K Miles + $1000). I now booked 2 $1,167 Round Trip tickets to Paris, and will book one way tickets via Easy Jet and Vueling, and will probably save around $1600-2000 (depending on what i get for my miles)! THANK YOU!!
BTW, have a good firm I can sell my AF Flying Blue miles to?
I am looking for 2 tickets from Miami to Israel (1 adult 1 child) leaving mid June (flexible dates) for about 3 weeks.
I have about 90K points on my chase in card, 55K on Barclays card (that turned into AA) 7K miles on my Flying blue account and about 7K left on my Amex. What would be the lowest cost option with those points? any way to combine those points? Thank you
nonstop from orly to tlv ?
cant find
What’s the taxes portion on these tickets? With a BA companion pass it looks like it’a over $2000 for 2.
Need from montreal to london too big shlep to take anothe 2 planes for that
@manymiles: transfer to cdg.
A Saturday stay is not enough it has to be a 7 night minimum
You wrote “You can also fly from JFK to CDG on American for $1,300 after the AARP discount, though the additional 10% off doesn’t apply to American flights.”
But how do you get the AARP discount on American Airlines? Is there a link?
Is this dead now or is my AARP membership just not working. 1600 prior to code and then 1500 after code. EWR to ORLY aug10-20th
@Raf:
Appears to be dead as of today.
Looks like BA had a change of heart and this deal is active once again. I just booked my aug 10-20th for 2 at $2339
Looking like this is dead…can someone confirm?
Dan,
Is this still available by any chance? I can’t get it to recognize the promo code.
Thanks
Hi, i tried searching for Jul 09 – Jul 20 for 2 people and it still gives me $2001.76/person. Am i making a mistake?
