Update #3: Dead!
Update #2, 2:15pm: The multi-passenger discount is now dead.
The price is now $1,167.24 after both discounts regardless of the number of passengers.
Update #1, 1:15pm: This fare is still alive, but you can now only depart between May 16 and August 23.
———————————————————————————————
British Airways has some very good good business class fares between NYC and Paris.
You can depart any day between now through September 3. As long as you depart NYC by September 3 you can return anytime after that.
-You can depart between May 16 and August 23. As long as you depart NYC by August 23 you can return anytime after that. A Saturday night stay is required.
-From Paris of course you can connect to other cities in Europe on the cheap with Avios/miles or with the numerous low-cost carriers that operate across the pond. You should be able to get cheap tickets or awards to Israel as well.
-The sale fare for business class for 2 or more passengers is $1,491 per passenger. Business class for 1 passenger is $1,697.
Here’s how to knock down the price for multiple passengers down to $981 or for one passenger down to $1,167 round-trip.
-Use this link to access the BA AARP site.
AARP members get $400 off BA business class tickets. Anyone can join AARP for $16. Just click “Log in to your AARP account here” to join AARP for $16 or to login to your existing AARP account.
Creating an account takes just a minute and as soon as you open an account you can make a login and then unlock the BA offer which can be used an unlimited amount of times.
Only 1 passenger needs to have an AARP account.
Once you are logged in just use the BA AARP link again (you may need to click on “verify membership) and search for a flight from NYC to Paris in business class. British Airways’ Open Skies affiliate airline operates daily service from both JFK and Newark to Paris/Orly. The business class seat converts into a lie-flat bed.
Select the Open Skies options and on the next screen locate the promotion code or eVoucher field and enter the following code for 10% off with a Chase Visa: CARDOFFERU
That code brought down the price for 2 passengers to just $1,963.68 or just $981.84 per passenger round-trip in business class!
Each passenger will also earn 10,902 Avios for the trip.
Cancellations are permitted within 24 hours for free over the phone (I just used this myself). After 24 hours the fee is a whopping $500 per ticket.

Safe to go to Paris now? Not so sure…
@emak:
Yes, but if you don’t want to go to Paris you can tag on a cheap flight to anywhere else in Europe or even Israel.
you have 763,927 Avios?!
Does it work starting in Paris?
Dan wawa has free coffee today nationwide!!!
best way to get to israel from there?
The AARP membership gives me 400 bucks off every ticket that I’m buying no matter how many times ????
@everyone:
Lol, I actually didn’t even notice that was there.
Did you hope I’d have more?
You should see my AA or UA account 😉
@moshe rabin:
No.
@Mendy:
They only have stores in 6 states, but hey, who’s counting 😉
@Anonymous:
Lots of potential options, depends on which miles you have.
@David:
In business or first class, yes.
Discount is $65 in coach and $130 in premium economy.
@everyone: hahaha
I assume the benefit for free cancelling within 24 hours is that you can book right away, then go home and discuss with spouse, and if they aren’t ok with it, then cancel?
Also, I assume you’re not keeping the 10k avios then?
Would this work on other BA routes, specifically LHR to ORD?
@Dan: I only have UR points and AAdvantage points
any suggestions?
@everyone: your numbers are off http://i.dansdeals.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ba.png
Is that including tax?
@Refuafan:
Indeed.
@DT:
Try and see.
@Anonymous:
Lots of options, start by checking AA.com, BA.com, United.com, etc.
@Stuart:
Lol
@Daniel:
Yes.
btw it starts from may 16th
@Anonymous:
False.
Just searched April 19-26, works fine.
@Dan: agreed but most of your fans are in the tri state area where there are lots of wawa’s…there’s a wawa in lakewood
Isn’t British operating beetwen the un an other city’s only ?
Dan what’s this cost anyways?
So, let’s see if I have this right:
We got married a few months ago; we sent our kids to college a few weeks ago; and now we’re retiring.
What’s next?
How much for one-way? (Nyc-ory)
Would not go to France these days even if you paid me
@Dan: your right but only if you multiple passengers I tried single passenger before that date
dan.. dose not work for Lag B’Omer!
@er:
Normally? Significantly more!
@Iz:
Lol
@Moish:
So use it to go elsewhere in Europe.
@aron:
Works fine with 2 or more passengers.
@aron: try it with 2 passengers
GREAT for Lag Beomer!!!!! Just add a RT ticket CDG-TLV with cash or miles via air france, elal, arkia etc
@dan
FYI I just found out after it happened to me that AMEX is no longer backdating new credit card account open dates to your first card.
I opened an AU card last month thinking that I would get the open date of the main card which is 10 years old. It just reported to my reports using the current date.
I did some research and this seems to effect any cards that first started reporting after 3/21 this year
dan:
1) can i take a connecting flight thru heatrow and stay in london? not take the second leg of the trip?
2) how do you choose “open skies”?
I tried it many times to get 2 tickets. first , it shows each ticket for over $4k , second after i click continue it gives me “Error Obtaining Price Quote” . anyone else is experiencing this? What am i doing wrong?
tried 2 adults… no luck,, im doing 5/5 – 5/7
@Moishe M:
Try calling or chatting and asking them to change it?
@joel:
Who said anything about connecting in London? Did you try searching from NYC to Paris?
@kee:
Dates?
@aron:
Read the post…
“A Saturday night stay is required.”
Oh shoot, if this would have lasted just one more month until Oct. 3rd it would have been perfect for my family of 5. Oh well..
What does this ticket usually go for?
can someone give a little more info please??
apr 29 /may 3
Verify membership is not working. Paid account, and it doesn’t work I tried all browsers too.
Dan.. i missed that one.. thanks
Never heard of the AARP discount so for that info alone thanks for this post! Are discounts for AARP on BA metal only or partner too? Assuming the former.
I can’t get the verify membership to work, even though AARP shows paid status through 2016
Dan if i book a week before lag b’omer and only show up for the return will that work?
thx
Seems to be dead for me.
@itsyehuda: Mine will not verify either help please!
i tried to leave on may 6 return may 11, for 2 passengers, i did everything you said, choose openskies, to orly , price is 14,833 and the promotional code gives me $1,483.00 off
@er:
Can be as high as $8,000.
@kee:
Looks like they have killed the April and early May dates, see post update.
@itsyehuda:
Works in Chrome for me.
@aron:
No.
@Aerial Dag:
Still alive, just valid travel period has changed.
@joel:
See post update.
I tried exactly the same as Joel and got the same crazy high prices !!!!!!
@JERRY FRIED:
Read the post update!
created an aarp account, paid and when i click “verify” nothing happens. tried in chrome and safari. any thoughts?
@help:
Try IE or Firefox?
Works for me in Chrome just fine. Made my account today.
Are you logged in on the AARP site?
so now that it fell thru, tell us how to get a credit for the AARP charge
Dan pls answer isn’t British airways operating only from or to the United Kingdom /London when buying a cash ticket ,same as united is only operating From or to the us ?
@joel:
What fell through exactly?
You weren’t fast enough for the early May dates? Find other dates or feel free to call AARP.
@David:
False on both accounts. BA operates lots of flights that don’t touch the UK and United operates flights that don’t touch the US.
Dan ,how the hell do you have so much avios points ??????
I opened a cc I got 50,000 avois only .
i do as you say and it only gives me a discount of 2000$ for 10 tickets. and they end up costing almost 2000 each. its for june and july. what am i doing wrong?
Is there any way to get the cost under 1000$ for one person??
getting avios is easy, if you know what you are doing. One can easily accumulate few millions points within 2 or so years with few simple tricks
When I check dates with the code it is now coming out to a little more than $3000 for 2 people. Is the deal dead? Tried different days in June & July.
the 400$ is not being credited it seems
i did everything but getting a price of over 3000 $ the promotion jost gives me down on two tickets about 350 $ any reason y?
BA has killed the multi-passenger discount, see the post update.
Lowest price now is $1,167 round-trip.
@Dan when does the open skies promotion expire?
Does not work with the Ritz Carlton Visa signature
whats the minyan situation there? meaning near hotels- Shabbos
@Noach:
What promotion?
@MOTI:
Interesting.
@sand:

@ingvar could you explain how? I would love to learn about it. I have a few kids learning abroad…. I thank you in advance: ehad2@juno.com
1500$ for a flight, cant bring it down to 1100 either….
thanks @dan hitting up Paris then Florence for a wedding and back again.
In for 5 tickets at $980 a pop, thanks Dan!
@ Dan sorry if I was unclear, I meant the code “CARDOFFERU”
@david:
1 card? You’re not going to get far with 1 card…
@jonas:
@Doug:
Enjoy guys!
@Noach:
It’s an ongoing BA/Open Skies offer.
tnx dan for the amazing deal!
how much are they charging for a infant?
pretty sure this just died. saw the fare but it then got an error screen. now i retried it and it wont show the low price anymore.
@chum:
Better off buying an infant a seat at these prices.
@mike:
Still alive, could be your dates sold out.
Ooops i was wrong, i accidentally switched the ticket type to flexible. still see it. i’m getting an average of $1,696.93 per person before any codes. is that about right?
how com the “verify membership” don’t work?
Hi Dan,
It seems that multi passenger (for 3 persons) the price is higher. If i simulate 1 passenger, the price is low and good. Can i buy 3 separate tickets then?
@mike:
Yes, $1,697 before codes becomes $1,167 after codes.
@yehouda:
Works fine for me and many others.
@Sax:
YMMV.
Tnx Tons Dan just booked and was only charged abt 120 for infant,
should i credit mileage to BA or AA ?
i have booked Jun 16-Jun 23 3 business class tickets now i tried booking for more people the same dates price when of for each ticket $600
hi
im trying to get 2 tickets leaving june 11 coming back the 17 and im getting very high prices
could you please help me out????
Dan, I am trying to get 2 tickets plus an infant leaving Aug-16 and returning Aug-26, but the prices are very high. Please advise.
Thank you
@ Dan, will I get busted for making an aarp account eventhough I’m not over the age of 50, i’m assuming not, but can I get messed over with the flight or aynthing somehow?
why is this marked as dead? Still seems to be working
