This is a good deal, but not as great as what was available in November, same route, $80 RT.
Expedia now has the exact same cancellation policy (actually 11:59pm PST – even better).
And with them you can also book for infants.

Do you recommend booking with the Sapphire instead of booking with the Us airways card and getting free luggage, or can I still get free luggage if I booked with the Sapphire by just showing my US air card?
@Yisroel:
Last time I booked I had to call them to cancel, is this no longer the case?
@ya:
You get free bags on USAir as long as you have the card, no need to book with it.
Dear Dan, we accumulated over 350,000 miles on air-Nippon about eight years ago and booked tickets for a round the world trip with at least five stops for two people. When the time came to begin our travels, our son was still very ill from leukemia and a bone marrow transplant. Air-Nippon would not extend our travel options or take the medical issues into consideration. Have you got any advice. We assumed there was nothing more to try, but I thought we’d ask your advice. Thanks.
Why is there no DD app?
@Dan:
The last time I flew they charged me for the bag, and that was with PAYING with my us air card, they charged me because my us air FF# was not on the booking. When I called them after the flight, they read for me the terms and conditions and refused to waive the fee.
@Stella eliezrie:
I’d write to news agencies and columnists who go to bat for consumers.
Sounds like a cause they’d take up.
@ses:
What would you like an app to do that you can’t get otherwise?
@ya:
Yup, it’s all about the frequent flyer number.
@Dan:
Got it. Thought I need both.
Don’t know exactly where to post this, but I got tickets from DCA to TLV via a direct flight from PHL for about 750$ a person in May on UsAirways. This was only from the usairways website and it didn’t show on priceline, orbitz, ita, or google flight search. The price I got when I called from the agent was almost double the price shown online. The cart said 140$ for the tickets and 620$ for taxes per ticket. It only works when you try to book at least two tickets. The prices were 750 or lower for May, April, March and I didn’t check earlier. My tickets are confirmed.
@JD:
What dates are you booked for?
@Dan: May 3rd to May 18th but we found for Pesach 3/29 to 4/13 or 4/14 (same $760). (It only works if you search for two tickets)
@Dan
Just checked and prices are up to $352
@Dan:
I cancelled online without any issue. It was actually a pleasure working with them. Site is very user-friendly.
