@ds, nyc is a packed hub for flights to israel so there won’t be so many deals. Far out cities have less people going, therefore, there are more deals.

For people that live in Lakewood. Just jump on a Amtrak from Trenton to Washington, D.C. It’s a 2 hr ride for 49$. Still makes this a pretty solid deal.

Dan, if you take the Delta flight from Tel Aviv to NYC to Washington D.C. it’s understandable that you don’t have to take the stopover flight from new york to Washington on the way back but what happens to your luggage? They won’t give it to you in New York?

To all those asking about the reverses trip-I saw off season tickets from Tel Aviv to NY for $802 on ISSTA. It’s with Transaero which gives you two free suitcases.

For the people doing the Hacking customs are done Chicago. Dan what do you say about that?…. I called United and I asked them about customs and my luggage and they said my luggage is taken from one plane to the other and customs are done not in NEWARK!… So now what should I do?>

who do you trust more? An underpaid overworked united employee that never even stepped into an airport, or someone who has traveled the world and has been through customs dozens and dozens of times??

@Jackie: You should call your good buddies at United and ask them for their cheapest fare. They know best, and their fares are legit!!! Any fare under $17,000 is a good deal, especially if they give you a seat in Economy Plus.

@Jackie: You misunderstood. Due to budget cuts in and around NYC, Newark’s customs have been outsourced to Chicago. Thus you are on Chicago soil when your baggage is processed. But once you exit the airport, you will once again be in the vicinity of NYC, as you will be able to tell by extremely “polite and courteous” cab drivers.
