Looks like some more good is coming out of the Congress/FAA tax lapse even though the airlines raised their regular fares to make up for the taxes.
DansDeals Forum member “bitbythedog” reports that they are flying to Tel Aviv on Continental in BusinessFirst using their miles.
While infants don’t need to pay for their own seat, they do have to pay a fee including a number of taxes on international tickets.
They had paid $358 in fees for their infant, but were able to get that infant ticket refunded and rebooked for just $150 due to the FAA tax lapse!
If you have any infant tickets booked be sure to call ASAP to get that refunded and rebooked and if you are planning to book international travel with an infant now is the time to do so!
