How do these shirts match up in terms of quality and sizing to the slim fit Charles Tyrwhitt shirts?
Anyone familiar with the quality of these shirts? How do the cuts compare to others (they have slim, fitted, super fitted)? How’s the non iron feature on these? Thx!
What is their return policy?
very little in size 15. Does anyone know how does the quality of these non-iron compared to CT (which I consider not great) or BR (which I consider good except not with a suit and tie)? TY
How do these compare with other companies – brooks brothers, Charles Tyrwhitt, Jos. A. Bank, etc?
Never heard of this company. Looks like ct website.
are these as good as Charles trywhitt
Any one have any experiance with these shirts – how do they compare to Jos A. Bank and or Charles Thrwite?
Thanks
They seem no worse than CT. Cant hurt to try it once
I Have a bunch of these shirts, and have ct as well I can’t vouch for the non iron, but the actual shirt quality and patterns I do find to be above CT’s quality of shirts
Which collar type at TM Lewin is the same as CT spread collar?
Charles Tyrwhitt was started in 1986 as a mail order company and has none of the heritage of Jermyn Street. TM Lewin is one of the original Jermyn Street shirtmakers founded about a 100 years earlier. But they have long since outsourced the ready made to Asia, so quality has gone downhill. Still, they are better than CT shirts. Let’s be honest, you are not going to get high quality shirts in the <$30 price range.
I’ve got CT and tm Lewin.I find the tm Lewin shirts to be of a higher quality and softer feel
I am in love with TM Lewin. It reminds me of my childhood in London.
Just called. It is not free returns.
I have bean wearing TM Lewin for several years since a friend bought me a bunch as a gift. Great shirts. Great slim fit (since I lost some weight). Great quality shirts that last. Great look. Best shirts I have ever owned.
Woaaaaaahhhh
@j: pretty sure you’re wrong. Free returns. And they are 100x better than ct. Quality and fit. Expect it to be looser than you think though. The fitted for me feels like a regular – would love it to be more fitted.
charles tyrwhitt extra slim fit is which one in tm lewin??
@Jay: They have a detailed size chart on their website. Looks like their super fitted is skinnier than most other brands’ slimmest fit.
I like these much better than CT shirts, much softer fabric, but no brass collar stays. Here is helpful link explaining differences:

Very happy with mine from last time, very soft cotton and seems to be holding up.
I confirmed that returns are free. Noted that they do not make size 34 sleeve. Seems most of their shirts are odd sizes only – e.g., 33″ sleeve, 35″ sleeve.
They make nice patterns and cool collars and stuff but i had the non-iron and it did not work, still needed to send to the cleaners.
Seems like they mimicked the Charles Thrwyitt website as well.
@Michael: The returns may be free but you need to make sure to send it back via certified mail since I returned a shirt (with their own sent USPS shipping label) and they claimed and they never got it and wouldn’t give me a refund (only an exchange).
FWIW, I returned some shirts with the included label and the refund posted automatically.
I had amazing experience with returns. Exchanged a shirt after 3 months and received the new shirt, at no charge, within a week of returning the old one.
@Dan: I guess I just had bad luck. But not too bad since AMEX happily refunded my $29.50 and TM Levin still sent me an exchange shirt too…
can’t add to bag
@Joe: They recommend you to get a proof of shipment. First time I returned something I did not get the proof of shipment, but after emailing back and forth, they did eventually give me the refund anyway after claiming not to have gotten it.
@steve: Who’s mimicking who? TML has been around since the 1800s. CT started in the 1980s.
@Binyomin: was referring to the layout of the website.
in for 3 thanks
Whats the deal with the sleeve size why can’t I get less than a 34?
No Size 27 neck
I’m not seeing the sale price??? Is there a code?
Dan, which shirt would you recommend that is similar to the oxford (not very dressy) but isn’t as thick as the oxford? Oxford shirts are very thick and uncomfortable at times, especially in the hot weather. Do they have anything like a pinpoint oxford? (I assume the regular all cotton shirts are too dressy and good when wearing a tie and suit. )Thanks.
CT sucks – if you want a good quality and great fitting NI shirt you’ll need to dish out for brooks brothers. I will give TM Lewin a try but not expecting anything more than CT.
does it have a pocket ??
